Fueling Racism

Multiculturalism and Politics of Guilt by Paul Gottfried sums up the problem of political correctness nicely; I concur with it with some minor qualifications.

It's not really about responsibility, It's really more about acknowledgment of a wrong doing, a formal apology and reparations just like other victims of human rights crimes. That would solve the black white racism problem altogether.

Blacks aren't gonna just "let it go" and it sucks that we would be the only race to have to let our ancestors die in vain.

We've given more formal apologies than we can shake a stick at. Reparations? Well, that would require modern day blacks knowing to what degree they were impacted by slavery, who the culprits are or were, and to what extent any specific person is responsible. To lay out some blanket statement about whites owing blacks money or opportunity simply won't fly. Just like theft, restitution is contingent on many factors. Blacks have yet to give a non-arbitrary account for this.

I agree. The constant discussion and the individualizing of certain races, CONTINUES the segregation. Unfortunately, I am not sure that the minority races are in agreement to stop such a discussion.
