So it basically 1/4 of your life wasted in school. and spending more money than you'll ever get back. I think i'll become a business man who makes three times as much in less than half the time.
@link0zeldarulz89 Opening a business is no assurance of success idiot. Doctor's spend a lot of time in school, yes, but they definitely get a ton of money and the kind of financial security that no other occupation can command. There's a reason smart people want to be doctors.
Wheww.... 4 + Years at a College or University, 4 Years at a Medical School, 3 Years Residency, (8) + Years Specialty Training, then possibly More Training. Jeez.. It takes nearly ((20)) years of training to become a Brain Surgeon, I guess I got my work cut out for me lol.
So much respect for neurosurgeons (and doctors for that matter). They dedicate THEIR life to research, training, and schooling to save the lives of OTHER people. Sure they go through hell but if that's what it takes for them to make an impact on society, so be it.
@MedicAlv1 actually once you enter the specialty training after completing medical school you can make anywhere from 100,000-300,000 a year an when you become a actual neruosuregeon you can make anywhere from 1-5 million a year plus you keep many good friends throughout your training
Some of the people commenting on this video have absolutely no idea what they're in for if they decide to go into Neurosurgery. If ANY of you are planning to go into Neurosurgery for the prestige, you'll be in for a rude awakening. Sure, it may be "easy" to say that you want to go into Neurosurgery, but do any of you have the dedication to stick with it after 10, 20, or even 30 years? Think about it...it's not all just about the money and the glamour.
Who cares? You wouldn't know what to do with all of the money anyway, after 2 years you'll have bought everything anyway. Seriously, the 150-250k salary range is the perfect amount for 99% of people.
@Keeeeeeeeth yes but they're pretty much the highest respected people in the world. srsly they have to go thru hell. i'd rather be a navy seals with asthma than go through that much hell
I love how everybody want's to be a neurosurgeon.. Not as easy as you think people, you still have to get through university.

No.. most medical school applicants have a GPA around a 3.8 or so.
You have to be a stellar students with tons of volunteer hours and shadowing experience.
