@PjKabz17 No it wouldn't. Mantises can eat big spiders like wolf spiders but most of the tarantulas are just too big for them, not to mention how heavily built they are. Biggest tarantulas can weigh ~200g and they're venomous too. Even a big mantis is just food for tarantula.

@aztec406 Apparently you know nothing of either mantids nor spiders. Both can get used to you or not depending on the individual animal's temperment. Neither have a brain and can understand you are taking care of it. In fact all they know is you exist and for some reason pick them up occasionally. Some tarantulas will indeed bite when upset but I've had a mantis dig into me before as well. Again it depends on the individual.
