Are you using an emulator here? Project Tempest v0.95? If you are, I am having trouble getting Gorf & Asteroids 2000 to work. When I load the ROMS, I get a little pop-up menu with input fields for Download Address & Start Address. Do you know anything about that?
If the video is accurate, I don't know if "perfect translation" is the right term. Why? This version looks to not have the annoying slowdown that the arcade version has! Too bad about the rights since I had really hoped to get this Jaguar port when rumblings about it started years ago.
@dall123451 hi again, check out mjscomputers (dot) net/ARCADE2.html again! (refresh page) Have loads of installable individual games on here now, yes, INCLUDING GORF! Enjoy - and yes it works with VISTA!
@dall123451 right click wingorf.exe, properites, compatability, run program as windows 98/me :) double click wingorf.exe it works fine on my vista computer.hope this helps. Also see 'joystick offer` on website. this works fine
@ninelivecat So you mentioned that Namco got there first for Galaxian? Despite that Wizard of wor (Which I never saw at the arcades) became popular, then that's why Midway shouldn't put Gorf on the Arcade classic vol 2 compilation.
Looks like fun. Looks like I'll be sourcing another expensive Jag game then. This is close to the price of BS. Shame as I'm sure it doesn't take much to make more copies. Just a case of finding the time to source supplies, printing the media and burning the discs. The sales would be high if they did more.
Wow! Impressive, I am interested in this title. YOu know there is a copy of Gorf on Ebay right now! How much do you believe this would go for? How much is it's value now, after that 'incident'? I would truly like a look at it XD Nice videos from a True Atari fan!

Awww man, all that and we didn't even get to see the Flagship go KA-BOOM?
I am disappointed :(
Love this game though. One of my all-time favorites :)

Vi, you are getting beat up in space warp because you stay too far from the center.
Stay close as the quark missiles they fire
move slower the closer you are to them.

Hmm, I shall keep that in mind next time I pop that bad boy in.
I'd definitely like to get better at it.

The arcade machine would actually HECKLE YOU for getting your ass whupped!
XD!

So does our version. It is exactly like the machine.

Cool...I play the ColecoVision version.

I dont know how many hours and money I spended at the local grill playing this on the arcade machine - damn it brings back memories :)
Best of the game is the sounds - they truly added to the gameplay by making it all more intense :)

Cool game! I love the Jaguar homebrew scene... They do have to give Steve the rights to produce it again :/

I love how the sound effects are exact to the original arcade machine.

That's not really the issue.
The developer (Steve) found out there were still some rights to a few levels he hadn't secured and was forced to discontinue production.
He tried to get the rights, but was never answered back, so he can't produce any more.

@viMasterJag Galaxians was omitted from all home versions of Gorf due to legalities with Galaxian

Sadly, this game will go for a pretty penny.
If it's a standard blue-case edition, it can go upwards of $180, but the norm is probably around $150 on EBay right now.
If it's a white-case, then the last (and ONLY) one on EBay went for over $400.

Cool, looks like fun. You are good at this game too.
