Where are all the Christians? Praying. That is why they cant help him, and he knows this.
He is angry at the realization that his friend's prayers dont do anything, which has probably got him to question his faith.

I should have said religious instead of christian because the statistics include jewish women at 1.3% protestants 34.7, catholic 31.3% Born Again/evangelical 18% I based my nearly 80 comment on the 23.7 Non-religious statistic. but when you add the stats up you get 109% So 79%? who the fuck knows? That's why I rounded.
