Rodney, i got 2 mouses, once i plug in my first mouse it says "USB-device can not be recognized" I'll tryed alot, and another i have only works with the mouse 1/2/3 , so icant drag it like around on the screen its like frozen. You know how to fix this? :) Thanks i'll appreciate your help if this will work!
Another thing that could be the issue is that Windows Vista and 7 have a power save feature to turn off the USB port when not in use. This can and often causes issues with USB connected devices. It's a setting in the Power settings area, which by default is set to "balanced" and you can either set it to "performance" or go into advanced tab and configure the USB portion to always remain on. Tip was provided by a Microsoft guru from within a book I read.
@SigleyL25 Yes, I was just about to comment the exact same thing. I was having this issue and it would lock up both my keyboard and mouse for a while. Thankfully I was able to find the problem and solve it eventually.
If all else fails, try a new mouse, and If your not a serious hardcore gamer, then don't spend too much on your mouse, I got a good no name USB wireless mouse from Wal-mart in store for about $12, and it's been going strong for about 7 months on the same AAA batteries it came with, and it tracks 800dpi flawless, even in games.
I LOLed so hard.

Occasionally, my right mouse button on my RAT 7 sticks which is annoying, but that's all I've ever experienced.

For those of you who own a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0:
Should your computer crash, or graphics card crash, and your mouse moves erratically, simply uninstall MS's software suite, and the driver.
This fixed my MS mouse problem, and it's pretty much universal to all MS mice afaik.

An old $10 laser Logitech mouse failed on me after a few years and sadly it was a hardware related issue :(

Rodney, you have an antique Razer mouse there, must be worth millions!

@Vaughnlesterinoz yes, computers can be very complex to troubleshoot, but with the right methodology you can shorten the time.

@babydash123 I saw a fix somewhere. You need some lubricant/oil and you put a drop or two on the button (you need to open the mouse first)

@CrysisLTU2 excuse me, lubricant oil ? lack of english sorry.. what is it ?

How would you solve the problem of a mouse sometimes double clicking when i only click once with the left mouse button?

@lessthantheUK I would suggest buying anew mouse (and also checking Control Panel > Mouse > and see those settings )
