  • Nice job you did on the bender. I wish I had room for one in my crowded shop

  • I agree with the other commenters here; that's really something nice you've put together. Consider all the intentions to copy your idea as the highest form of flattery :)

  • You named your invention off a catoon character? thats just silly!

    you silly goose.

  • Yes, really good - and thanks for showing to everyone. 'Makes me consider creating my own wrought ironwork for my home, without need for furnace and fuel and noise. Bruce Thomson in New Zealand.

  • This is a beautiful bit of kit you have put together here.

I was looking at this over on the miller site.

I wish i had the skill at the moment to put one of these together.

  • very impressed i was thinking of copying your idea :) the first clips where you put radius how exactly does work are two red blocks free moving yes and do you feed it in gradually bending it

  • video cameras are cheap

  • @rodstartube ...So is Talk. I did use a video camera but I shot this in ultra slow motion. Couldn't you tell. Watch it closely

  • @NickMonteleone i see you are the talk of the town

  • @rodstartube ......What can I say?;-)

  • Simple and efficient, I like it. Like all good ideas, everyone says, "Why didn't I think of that".

Those whingers who can't work out what is being demonstrated here have no place working with tools anyway.

    I'm definitely gunna build one.

    Thanks Nick.

  • @ozzirt why didn't I think of that?...lol

  • Yep,.. to someone in the trade these things maybe commonplace, but to backyard tinkerers. it is a great piece of kit.

I saw your work in your videos and must say I am absolutely blown away. Now,... THAT is art!!!

  • Awe shucks, thanks :)

I'm gonna knock off his bender idea and tell the guys I invented it...lol

  • Yeah,... I know, you only posted those videos to make me feel even more inadequate than I already do...... ;-)

I also like your nice clean workshop. Not always easy to do in the metal trades.

    All the Best,

    Spike.

  • YoutTubers just live slideshows.

  • You ought to save up for a video camera. They're real cheap, now. Even we have 2 of 'em.

  • @littlefatzrow Wow..you have 2 of'em.

You must be talk of the town. You da man.

  • I'm sorry about that. I get carried away sometimes because of all the crap I see on YouTube. You the man!

  • dude awesome! now build a terminator chasis!

  • sound track missing, and motion parts need some work, but, other than that, "pretty good photo album"

  • nice!!!

What is the diameter on the pins? 5/8?

  • yes....5/8 inch.....

  • Very cool!

Would you send me the plans about this metal bender? I have a small bore tube bender and a stock metal parts would be nice in my workshop.

  • Sorry...I didn't draw plans. I made what came to mind. Look up Hossfeld plans. It's a good tool.

  • Very cool! You must already have some pretty good fabrication abilities to be able to chew out those dies to a precise shape.

  • haha I must be bored if I found this video! We have something very similar at work, but yours definitely looks better.

  • A picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a thousand pictures. Your inventions are interesting, but why not demonstrate with a video?
