  • is this a sound bomb? O.o

  • che mostro di sub

  • @100karrilon1 no a 15"

  • @octavdesinger it not a 18 or a 15 its a 13inch Av.2

  • @Adamoct27 ok my fault

  • This Might just pop the engine out of the car with the driver..

  • did you hear anything when you was testing it?

  • montagen

  • I want this sub!!!!!!!!!!

  • When you put that woofer on your dick it can feel very nice ,i im doing that all the time and it make's me come realy fast..It feels so buttshaking,i love the vibrations of that woofer on my dick .hahaha

  • Keep it Lound and Strong...

  • wtf?!!? oO blow the speaker?!

  • it can b use as a cannon

  • I bet Alex cracked the spider on this if not he shouldn't claim abuse on ours with cracked spiders when we all know we don't do this to them!!!!!

  • no audio?

  • @WizardsMagic007 Audio Pulse AKA TC Sounds designed this woofer.

  • Impressive excursion but don't play too much with speakers outside a box where they're supposed to work with... you can get damages and so a useless mass of metal..

  • @AccessVirus71 re-cone it buddy

  • awesome excursion. is it possible to get this made with extra spiders? throw alittle extra power :)

  • song name please

  • i like the music :D

  • okay now wear can i get one right now

  • @420basshead420 from jesus

  • WHERS THE SOUND !!!!!

  • Real bassheads dont care how crappy the bass sounds, aslong as we can hear those wonder waves of pressure destroying crappy pc speakers.

  • well its hard to find a camera that the mic can pick up bass well..

the camera would of have probably made it sound bad = less impressive

  • who makes a speaker vid with no sound?!

  • you can buy this sub and the amp that was made to power it for 600$

  • @MakeLuvNotKids where!

  • y el sonido?

  • damn ! , that sub look sick

  • THIS IS A REAL BASS SPEAKER !!I JUST LOVE IT . goodd luck

  • what is the point of such a large top plate lol

  • You got like 3 feet of air that time.

  • i got two of these on 500.2 power fosgate and they are loud i cant wait till i get the full 6000 watts to both

  • I don't like the way that speaker jumps out past the frame so much, it'll hit anything in front of it or eventually break down the material and look really messed up when it does. It's like when your shocks on a car go bad and need replaced, it's worse when it's a speaker doin that too much play.

  • @KnightChatX

This kind of speaker is designed for long mechanical movement. This moves more air in turn giving more volume. This type of subwoofer is designed almost strictly for lots of bass out of just one subwoofer. You may like flatter subs which are tighter in sound response, but this is a monster that needs room to breathe. And honestly, you shouldn't be putting any kind of subwoofer close to anything.

  • @phattacorider Yeah that's my point, in my friends old truck many years ago we'd have had the speakers behind the seat which wouldn't have had much room or in a bass cannon type enclosure. I know because those speakers come out so far they definately need frontal clearence and if you intend to put em in something concealed you'd have to take that into mind when making a box for it since putting anything in front would most likely damage the speakers.

  • @phattacorider So in a sealed enclosure it'd have to be given some extra room in the front and when mounted from the back to front if you want it as a flush mount you probably need the outter edge beveled or trimmed incase you hit a bump and the driver goes a bit diagonal and the box would tear speaker up. It'd probably be better to mount from the top down then and 2 top layers of wood, top layer bigger hole than the speaker and the one underneath would be tight for the bottom of rim.

  • @KnightChatX

Well when installing a subwoofer in an enclosure in a vehicle, there are a couple of considerations to take into mind. When building the enclosure, make sure the woofer has at least an inch above it's maximum mechanical or magnetic limit (whichever is furthest) for room to dissipate air. Also, make sure the enclosure is secured to where it's being mounted this way in the event of sudden braking or acceleration, the box won't go anywhere.

  • DAMN DAT SHYT IZ HELLA LOUD

  • lo vas a romper jejeje tira eso a la basura

  • whats 1 of these cost?

  • hmm, i bet you could kill someone with that excursion =)

  • how much for two?

  • I've purchased several items from Elemental Designs and found their products to be OK, but their customer service post-sale is HORRIBLE. If you have a warranty problem, you might as well save yourself the shipping costs because they WILL NOT take care of you. Take my advice... don't just look at the product... look at the service and post-sale customer satisfaction.

  • That excursion is fucking ridiculous haha

  • de poca madre!

  • A LA MIERDA que potencia :D

  • the cheap paper thin spider sub

  • @Toad559 hhaahahah

  • where can i buy this? lol

  • perfect....

  • This subwoofer is assembled in the Philippines if I remember right and it comes shipped with excessive glue/mechanical noise, sloppy work done for such a good looking subwoofer.

  • Lol, you're calling ED shit?

This sub is top of the line, get your facts straight.

  • My dream sub.

  • It could probably kill a w7 haha.

  • Ever take that thing over any sweet jumps?

  • @rmcrom, Lol! Funny guy haha!!!

  • @rmcrom lmao

  • fucking wanna be copy of a w7... nice job designing your own woofer

  • wtf its not a copy just because it has a big surround

  • w7 is not underhung, nice job at not knowing what the fuck your talking about

  • Huge magnet

  • looks very funny 5/5

  • deam.....this is the lord,,,take you down ,the king is on the roof:cam asa se spune pe romaneste bestial

  • gay no sound.

    remove my comment lol

  • i was wondering were i seen these before lol

  • aushaush sera que eles colacaram esse alto-falante pra vende ??

  • caraio q porra e essa mano, muito loko.

  • haha, powered by a Behringer EP-series pro-amplifier if I can see that good.

    oops. that sucks.

  • damn

  • dammmmm

    is a big excursion!

  • WoW dude..

  • wot is with this guy...he cant stop fidgeting with the signal generator!!!...surely it cant be that difficult to use!!!!!

  • @sh4ts Well, simple things become more difficult when your stoned. Believe me. :)

  • RE.

  • frequency generators are the easiest way to blow a speaker

  • why is that?

  • two of these elemental designs

  • SX 15's

  • man :) that thing wants to eat you =))

  • A buddy showed me this sub. I'm getting this when I get my car in about a month.

  • i wouldnt even think of doing this with my 4..... :|

i remember i bought these subs right after seeing this haha

pretty good subs ! wish i could get sponsored or something tho hah

  • song name ? hes using a tone generator dumb ass.

  • i want a speaker set whit a sub woofer(i would like it if it could be compact) whit a subwoofer(decent) under 700$what do you recomend?it need to be compatible whit my ipod and computer

  • Get AudioPulse.

  • song name?

  • Holy Crap! You can do CPR chest compressions with this thing!!!

  • I don't thinks so. I think that this would kill the person not revive him.

  • They probably cut out the sound because a sub free-aired with this much power going to it is going to produce A LOT of mechanical racket, especially with the pole vent covered.

  • exactly what i was thinkin

  • who cares about the damn sound. it sounds like a sub flapping free-air.

  • last round.....fight:::- FATALITY

  • when destroiy this speaker ?

  • That was bumpin pretty good.

Woulda been a better video with sound though.

  • This is unnecessary. You don't need to test it. That was done when it was built.

  • yeah by ED's shitty ass QC

  • did you have problems with them? im thinking about buying one.

  • It's a demo.

  • who the fuck makes a speaker vid with no sound????

  • @ChockFullOfWin a fag

  • @ChockFullOfWin

They made it with no sound because they were only testing low frequencies.

I.e: with sound, it just makes annoying noise.

  • @ChockFullOfWin cause has horriable mecanical noise

  • @ChockFullOfWin yes you can if you got enuff power pushin it it make your heart stop beatin

  • @ChockFullOfWin like a porn vid with no video!! -_-

  • @ChockFullOfWin this guy does.

  • wtf is sound

  • some subwoofers dont need any breaking in at all though. FI Audio woofers dont need breaking in, it's been said by people who work for FI that you can just get it installed and run it hard, straight up. thats because FI is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • fi is awsome but all subs need broke in when new, fi mayy pre break in subs if they tell you they dont have to be

  • ya noidle i agree with trent

  • Comment removed

  • nice i would like to have 10 of these in my car.

  • wtf happend in 1'02 to 1'05 were those sparks comimg out??

  • wow yeah it looked two sparks came out

  • jaja i know them would be funny if it started to burn!

  • fully powering a fresh sub sometimes gets sparks from left over machining metal that didn't get cleaned off, now if one or two came out later somethings terribly wrong with the coil

  • Oh cool is that why people say don't push your subwoofer too hard when you first buy it?

  • no its because the round part on the outside of the cone is still kind of hard so if you push it too hard it might burn the voice coil :)

  • oh also the best thing youll want to do is run it free air...meaning without any sub box for about a minute second at all the power it needs but at low volume..and it will take a couple hours for the sub to be broken in..people thing it takes longer but it really dosent take too long just run it at low volumes for a while..and just keep turning it up as you feel its soundind better

  • Oohh ok mate thanks a lot :)

  • or you could just wire a couple into a wall socket it actually works i don't quite remember how but on the bigger subs just wall socket a few big ones together

  • dude...your retarded i didnt mean that when they break..i mean like if you work it in,,like breaking it in..hooking it up to a wallsocket burns the voice coil like a mofo

  • well that comment was not neccessary, yes you can destroy a sub that way, but you can also clamp the amps from a house socket at about 19.4 amps X 120v, that equals 2328 watts and there's plenty of subs that can handle that much wattage, and no i'm not retarded :)

  • uhhh no dude there arent that many subs that can handle that much wattage..lets see here...uhhh the solo x..the mtx..w\e its called..uhh some fi some re...i mean youd have to hook up multiple good sbuwoofers to reach that much

  • true 2328 watts is a lot but you could easily just lower the amperage and plug your l7's in (i accept no responsibility for failure or injury in that statement) but 4a x120v= 480 watts an l7 could handle that it's be f'n loud but it'd work if you could find the right device to lower it that much

  • y but you cant lower what a sub will recieve with just a wall socket and a some wires...and L7's take 750 RMS theyd be like boo boom

  • Even though subs can handle that much power, 120v coming from the wall only moves at 60hz, meaning the sub isn't going to move much and the heat won't dissipate as easily if it were moving at, per say, 35hz. That's why subs plugged into the wall burn out so quickly from thermal damage to the resin covering the wires of the voice coil. Best break in is just to listen to your music low for a bit, then crank it up.

  • true that is the best way but i'm just sayin there's other ways to skin a cat

  • yes subwoofers have a break in period, depending on how big the woofer and how high quality the machining process, the bigger the sub, the longer breakin period, the higher quality the shorter the break in

  • So if you got a really good quality sub it can blow easier than a cheaper one?...

  • i wouldnt quite say that man..i mean ya the larger the longer...that sounded weird...but my Kicker L7 took about a month or two to be fully broke in.

  • NICE...

  • damn, the magnets like 8 feet long

  • what a monster

  • thats freaking! this is insane_! i want to speak with my lawyer now!

  • tencil leads over high excursion can tap each other, but that was no spark.

  • You have absolutely no idea what your talking about. Sadly, eD is one of the few subwoofer companies that do not make crappy, boomy, cheap, subwoofers.

This is why eD is becoming so popular in the HomeTheater crowd. Their speakers reach lower than most of the competition and have a flatter response curve.

And in case you don't speak audiophile. Boomy means that a sub/speaker gets really loud at a certain frequency and then quickly dies off after that. Most car subs do this.

  • one thing to remember is how hard he is running it free air. some subs cant handle fee air especially that hard

  • i had an spv.2 said it handles 1200 but could barely dop that and it didnt get very loud either plus the sound quality wasnt great either. i was pretty upset with it

  • no se oye ojete

  • WTF

  • nice sub, i hope i can get my project sub to move farther than that, it it out!

  • I was going to BUY one is what I ment, sorry.

  • I was going to but one of these until I found out why it sparked. Elemental dont show vids that clame good excurtion when the sub cant take it. Poor salesmanship buy doing that. You guys hav e a lot more work to do to make this sub a good one. It needs to be more linear, stay linear through the travel, fix the mechanical noise, fix the geometry of the spiders, and I think the sensitivety could be better. If you could make that excurtion sound good at the same price, then id by one.

  • the sub is being driven way beyond it's controlled stroke. It simply went off linear and shaved the coil on the top plate. I have had 2 of these to test, the move 2 1/2" P-P before mechanical noise because of the cheap made spiders. The sub's usable stroke is only 2". The bottom spider shreads during high excursion like in the video, theres no sound because of mechanical noise. Watch the video Elemental 13av.2 subwoofer excursion using Pilyo DIYs

You get to hear why there no audio on this vid

  • You have to be an idiot to think a sub can move that far and not make noise.

  • Comment removed

  • People that dont know have to realize that just because a subwoofer has massive excursions does not essentially mean that it will create massive SPL.

  • x2 he is right. Sensitivity has a big part to play, as well as bL and moving mass. Audiopulse(dot)com go to "Know How" - "Subwoofer Driver Guide" - "Myths about Subwoofers" read up!

  • Thnaks for the inforamtion... Very useful for anyone...

  • imovie ;]

  • Now just build a giant trumpet and stick it on the front and you're all set

  • just one of those would be enough if powered right.

  • there's no sound in this vid

  • theres no sound in any of their vids because they don't want you to hear the mechanical noise made by over driving their woofers. These subs cannot move that far cleanly

  • i schwör auf dei mutter i hob 45 jackhammer

  • WOW your gay SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

  • oh yeah u have it in your car? oh wait now u have a truck?

    hmmm..yeahh
