Hey hows it going. I just recently purchased the ns6 i am pretty happy with my purchase. But when I am mixing and I have a song in cue and I am moving the pitch fader on the cue the song actually playing tends to move from its bpm that it is currently on. The song then jumps all over the place goes slow then fast I try to return to the original tempo and the pitch fader will not respond. Someone help I need to fix this problem. HELP!!
If the NS6 had moving platters it would be perfect. I woulda paid more for it.
Numark you perfected the moving platters with the NS7, why did you go away from it? Please tell me there will be a 4-channel NS8 with moving platters in the near future.
@carnutvic Depending on what your looking for. With the S4 you get Traktor which is about 200$ by itself so much more customization. The Ns6 has better and bigger platters so for scratching it's your best choice. I didn't like the fact that on the Ns6 the effects are pitch and not knobs and you can only put 2 Fx perchannel and 6 on the S4. Much more variety on the S4. Last thing that I noted on the Ns6 thats weird is that you can cue only 1 channel at a time
@djrickygaz It would seem so, I was going to buy the ns7fx, but the seller told me that after a while, the turntables on the ns7 start feeling a bit different since their motorized. I got out with the ns6 just this afternoon and even with a hard time installing the driver, it's completely worth it
Can you please show the jog wheel capabilities... Instead of using the pitch bend BUTTON to fine-tune beat matching, is it possible to use the platter edge to achieve the same function?
video reply please! thinking about getting one for the mobility
@igorbrunoabreu not sure if it works with traktor out of the box, but i'm sure there are or will be mappings online. u will lose some features and gain some as serato itch and ni traktor are two very different programs
@IamJohnnySantos - For starters, 4 channels and a 4 channel edition of Serato Itch. It's a Midi/Log controller, meaning you can you can use the mixer for other things. Not just with the controllers preset functions. Built in effects control so you don't have to buy an external effects unit, like you have to do with The NS7 or select other Itch controllers and the price difference is pretty nice. Without having the motors of the NS7 and V7 making the price rocket. $999 is a lot better than $1200!
j@IamJohnnySantos - Yup, not the same external NSFX unit. But yea the same control as the NSFX built in. And with the extra channels. You're able to do more, than you would with the regular 2 channel version of Itch. If direct drive motors isn't an issue to you. This one ups the NS7!
@IamJohnnySantos - I'm right there with you about the job situation. I'm hoping I find a job soon. But in the meantime. Happy at least for my Mixtrack and acoustic Dj gear..
@BBoyInferno2k3 I need a job, to pay for my bills, like phone, and college, and I can buy this Numark. I want to get it so badly. I wanna get it at least July/August, so I can get to know the NS6 good, and be the dj at my cousin's XV next year.
@IamJohnnySantos - Yea I'm in the same boat, I hoped I had a job by now. I could of used this to dj at my sisters graduation party next month. But. I got my other dj controllers and my turntables and mixer as options. I just want an Itch dj controller. This one has caught my eye from day one. Well good luck finding a job, and if you've used an NS7 before the feel is the same with out the motors of course. I seen this at an dj expo. Totally spanks the Pioneer DDJ - S1
@BBoyInferno2k3 Naw, I never used it. I got an Ion Audio Discovery DJ Controller, not even close to a Numark, but since U like playing around with it, I saw I would be good with music. And the NS6 got my eyes off the NS7, when I heard of it Day 1 as well.
At least you got a controller, to use, for now.
Thanks, good luck yourself too. We need to Master the NS6 Soon.
@IamJohnnySantos - I got a Discover Dj also, but you are wrong about the Discover Dj not being a Numark item. In fact it is, Numark owns Ion Audio and Alesis. And if you've seen the IDJ Live from Numark, it's a repackaged Discover Dj. Same with the Discover Dj Pro, it's a repackaged version of the IDJ3 by Numark. But I think I won't have a problem with the NS6, I'm so familiar with the NS7 plus I got a hands on with this unit already. But yea when you get one, I know you'll love it!
@BBoyInferno2k3 Seriously, Numark owns Ion Audio. I didn't know that, but I wasn't saying it that way, I was saying i can't do nothing much with the Discovery Dj, i wanna do more, like with the NS6. I only have the Discovery Dj, nothing else. But I wanna get the NS6, to get better. I'm just getting started with djing.
@IamJohnnySantos - Well you would learn pretty well the core basics of djing with the NS6. But even if you get this, I would still get aquainted with using acoustic djing gear (Turntables, CDJ's, Mixer) just so you have the exprience with all sources of dj audio.
can you beatmatch with platters oń ns6?
