  • my brain hits a black hole when thinking about this stuff? what is a idea? wtf??????????????

  • Interesting that cobb "drowns." they skipped so many parts like how he got back to some places. Also, when he was running away from those guys, why did the alley way get smaller?

  • Cobb never was dreaming he was just pretending! He wants to think about mal that's the whole point of the story! No dream.... Just thoughts! Duhhh!

  • Greetings, i am a pakistani too. but i didnt get what the fuck u were talking about mate

  • in my opinion , cobb is in Mal's dream, because he cant control her . she is a pojection uncontrolable

  • Cobb died drowning, once he dies in layer 2, i would assume he just dies.

  • SONG NAME?

  • @TheLaughShack Pakistani band Silversmoke , song name zakham

  • this is all a dream. Mal was right

  • i find it odd the movie needed explaining to so many people.im thirteen and understood it quite well.

  • @Westicles27 so,,, what was the ending? I think he is not in limbo just because the thing wiggled once and you look closely and u can see it wiggled when he was trying to tell the other girl about the spining thing... and the most important thing is if he was in limbo how did he got those guys... IDK i think i'm in limbo too MINDFUCKED!

  • It's Ariandae

  • You might be wrong? You are wrong.

  • The preacher sucks the devil into himself and jumps out the window

  • Bruce Willis was dead the whole movie RIP

  • The village was actually in a modern day national park

  • It was a dream whole time

  • i think that the totem slightly tilting means that he is trapped in his dream while trying to get out but keeps falling back down

  • the only thing i dont get is why did they want to destroy the energy company?? please reply

  • @Halfgallonmilk123 they don't. saito wants them to. it's just their assignment. and saito wants to destroy the company because it's going to get a monopoly of energy in the world. and that's bad news for everyone including saito's business

  • Made sense but basically the end of the movie and the last dream was the beginning. The middle comes first n the beginning is last just think about it

  • @Rockysbeats The owner of the company has aso much power he can get Cobb back to his home.

  • In dreams he wears a gold wedding ring because in dreams he is still married in real world he does not because he is not married, in the last scene he is NOT!!! Case closed, he is in real world not limbo.

  • @JJ75991 Or it was a symbol of his feelings for Mal and at the end he has moved on.

The point of the ending is that it doesn't matter if he is dreaming or not because he has "gone home" meaning he has gotten over his regrets.

  • wow

  • It's only an open eding : we are free to imagine the end.

  • in the end cobb comes back o see his kids and his spins that top and the top falls if he was in a dream the top wouldn't fall EVER

  • @princepersia405 the film ends b4 you can see if it falls or not

  • i think the film is pretty much straight forward :L the only problem for me is (and i think its a bit of a flaw in the plot) in the 3rd layer (snowy) Cobb and Adriana go into Cobbs dream (not limbo as they dont die) however Cobbs dream world is exactly the same as what limbo was earlier in the film. so are they in Cobbs dream world or Limbo?? it would seem limbo as Fischer is there and he died in 3rd layer, but if it is limbo, how did Adriana and Cobb get there and how does she leave so easily??

  • @JLB1457 The fourth layer is limbo.

  • @Mrhaux yes but how did Cobb and Adriana get there, they never died in the third layer :L and i didnt think you could leave limbo by jumping off a building :L

  • @JLB1457 You can leave by either killing yourself or getting a kick.

And Cobb and Adriana entered Fischer's dream, which is limbo because he was killed and couldn't wake up.

  • @Mrhaux ahhhhh right makes abit more sense now haha so then why didnt Cobb and his wife stay there till they were old ??

  • @JLB1457 They did. They were in limbo for 50 years before the movie started. Cobb then gave her inception so she would realize that this was a dream. It didn't end well.

  • @Mrhaux yh i know they did eventually, but why did they stay there for 50 years if they could just leave?? :L unless thats not explained in the film

  • @Rockysbeats well ya it kinda makes more sense now that u put it that way. thanks

  • i think the only one got me thinking was momento even that wasnt hard to understand genrally only if you visalise it inverted seqence by seqence

  • can somebody explain how the super company thing and what that has to do with cobb seeing his kids?

  • Guys the end is reality!!!! he came back!!! the writer said so!! the only reason the top doesnt fall is because it didnt matter to cobb..he saw their faces so it was reality....he kept his part of the deal!!!

  • @vln1912 actually on the contrary he could see the children's faces in the dream too, remember when Mal asks him to take a look at the kids.. and he hears them.. but doesn't want to look at them.. so that he could be able to differentiate between dream and reality.. other than that.. if u have a link to Nolan's actual interview in which he explains the movie, ive been dying to find out myself of what his real intentions were

  • @mobin1571992 I don't have the link sorry. but didnt he wake up from limbo? hed been there before so he knew how to get out right? plus in the dream the top never wobbled at all it just kept spinning and at the end its going to fall.

  • @vln1912 if the end is reality howcome the kids are sat in exactly the same place doing the exact same thing,,coincedence??,,,and how come they havnt aged?

  • @Rockysbeats well thats a great point but cobbs dad is never in his dreams and in an interview cobbs dad says its reality something about the bears ccobb gave his kids are in the back...idk id like to think he woke up becuz he sees their faces

  • @vln1912

oh :o where have you heard the writer say that cobb IS back s:

because, the girl from the movie that was with cobb almost all the time (dont remember her name :I ) she jumps but cobb doesnt? so how can he be alive like all the others?s:

  • @27o0 Im sorry not the writer the old man cobbs dad? in an interview he let it slip that indeed it is reality but the article got deleted i guess to keep the mystery going....whats more real than your dreams and whos to say reality is real when it is our dreams that show us what our reality is;)

  • that i might be wrong part at the end just fucked my day up!

  • u know whats been bothering me the whole time about this movie? its the fact that when Arthur told the girl he has a loaded die and said u cant touch it because it would defeat the purpose? Then the spinning totem cobb has is from his wifes so then he touched it and it probably doesnt work anymore tell me if im wrong or not

  • @omen12x how about the fact they always end up in the controlled 'fake' reality dream that they designed before hand when awake? like whats to stop them after being sedated to wind up dreaming about something completely different than what they designed before hand?, and if you always end up in the middle of a dream with no idea how you got there then how would you remember that you designed it before you went to sleep?, inception = complete contredictive bollox

  • your interpretation is correct as well

the fact is that we don't know the ending because it remains open :)

  • The plot hole prevents the film from linking up and explaining itself in the end it says he's dreaming but at the begining he shows ellen page that they're not dreaming by spinning the totem and it falls over. This is in reality but the film tries to say it's a dream fucking the whole film.

  • Saito would be a zombie aswell

after visiting limbo, without anything to pull you away from it but the flow of time, you either wake up to find your brain turned to shit, or you simply go into a deep coma.

  • @OfirBeck i think the fact that cobb reminded saito that this was not real in the end would somehow indicate that there are chances saito can be seen after waking up at the end of his flight. And also he remembered cobb, even after getting so old, means he still remembers something. Well that's what I think anyways.

  • @mobin1571992 So you're saying that i"he remembered cobb after waking up"... In that case, the ending is set in Reality and cobb was shot by Saito to wake him up, so at the end. Cobb returns Home.

this disproves everything you said in the video about how cobb accepting limbo

  • @OfirBeck sorry i meant.. saito can be "sane" after waking up at the end of his flight. And no, the ending is actually Cobb dreaming about the ending. The ending is him in a deep level. Where he'll spend a huge amount of time. But he'll wake up in that plane at a certain point, where he'll be dog mad i think.

  • @mobin1571992 But here's the logical point. the character Saito is an honorable man, he told cobb "I will honor our agreement.". so in any case Saito wakes up normal it would be because he knew he was dreaming all along, realizes he is in Limbo, and at that moment, he would shoot cobb and himself to free BOTH of them. by diving into Limbo to save Saito, Cobb joined their fates. If saito wakes up, cobb wakes up. If saito stays in limbo, cobb stays in limbo

  • @OfirBeck hmmm.. my opinion was.. of course which can be wrong.. that shooting wont help, theyd have to survive the amount of time they are in limbo... shooting wud only take them into deeper levels because of high sedation.. Saito was in limbo when Cobb arrived at the korean place.. but Cobb wasn't.. so Cobb was effectively living in Saito's dream. It wasn't his dream. He had to make it "His" dream but he actually set out to somehow save Saito mentally.. he achieves both things in the end..

  • @mobin1571992 I know it's wrong. Cobb is very good in navigating the levels of the dream. plus, he has been in Limbo before with Mal. and he knows that when you kill yourself in Limbo, you wake up. that's why he laid himself on the railroads with Mal. I believe there is nothing deeper than the eternal deserted land of Limbo, because there has to be a limit. the sedation is measurable and therefore has it's limits.
