"Screw the economy it could crash and burn, I don't care if gas prices are $20 a gallon or what happens in Iraq, disabled college students need more rights." i have to disagree. i beleive most drugs have been outlawed as a result of political, economic and societal reasons rather than the welfare of individuals.(the CIA's involvement with opium and cocaine trafficking)(LSD propoganda in the 60s)(racial propoganda against marijuana in the 50's) there are truly various drugs being prescribed currently with negative side effects that greatly outweigh that of some illigal drugs.

Plenty of post-secondary students put themselves through school through loans, and survive off what they can make in part time jobs.

Part time jobs are limited for those with physical disabilities... Hence, more disabled people are forced to live off government funding in the future, because they couldnt get enough funding now to attend schooling, and provide for themselve in a job they can do.

My college is superb in all areas of accessibility but I don't know how I would manage at our major, public universities. The point I think he is trying to make is that this shouldn't be a worry. We shouldn't be discouraged from attending our preferred college because they're not up to par with disabled access issues. Also, most families with a disabled student have more medical bills than the average family, resulting in less funds to afford a college education for the disabled person. Im lucky
