  • Thank you so much. This has given me much pleasure. I think it's wonderful

  • Have been a fan over the years of the Dukes of Dixieland's version with real chimes, but really like this amazing arrangement and this wonderful group.

    Thanks so much.

  • nicee..

  • no - I'll look for it - haven't searched youtube yet.

  • I was thrilled, amazed, and surprised when I first saw your Climax band do the chimes thing without piano at an intimate bar gig during Sacto fest in the 80s. I saw you guys do it a few more times after that. Now, this video lets me see it again. In between then and now, I have not seen another band do this. For anyone familiar with Chimes Blues, this is really special. Many thanks - for this vid and for all the joy your band brought back then.

  • hi tb261,

Did you hear the 1954 version by the same outfit? Ithink it's the best by far.

  • I still have this on a '78'.

When I was much younger and lived in a semi, my neighbour acquired a Westminster chiming clock which used to wake me at all hours of the night. As he would not listen to reason, I began playing this very loudly, each time he woke me up.

He got the message! Thanks for the memories.

  • Great Story Dadreno. you fought back with great jazz!
