Nooo! I havent been able to find a single video that shows you that last step without a calculator. How the heck did Eratosthenes do his calculations before calculators?
@enantiomer2000 I can't say how Eratosthenes did his calculations, but he may have used similar triangles, or possibly a trig table was available, or maybe he made his own trig table. You could make a trig table similar to that found in many text books by creating a right triangle with a given angle measure, and actually measure and calculate the ratio of opp/hyp, adj/hyp and opp/adj and use it in future calculations. I don't know that this is what he did, but it is possible.
@enantiomer2000 That's what I was freaking thinking, how the hell is anyone supposed to know to do the problems without this info. It would be a world of help! There's a video on YouTube that tells how to do Cos (Sin Cos Tan - Basic Trigonometry) onthe two kinds of calculators.
Oh my god, I'm so glad this video exists. Thank you, this was exactly what i was confused about. You're the best!

Thank-you for this video! I was having trouble with finding an angle with only side lengths as figures so this was perfect.
