@goldenglove25 yeah it was--the swing doesnt look special but this man hits his hybrids past ALOT of other pros. I saw him hit a few years ago and the ball just never comes down. Its a combination of his height, the torque in transition and how much longer he keeps his wrists cocked than normal.
I would love to play there and hit the golf ball at one of those houses on the left and smash a window then blame the owner for building his house there.
Stop it at 0:05. Although he doesnt have the clubhead lag of a Sergio or a Dustin, his wrists are still cocked and ready to unload. That combined with his very good extension and fast hips, leads to his massive clubhead speed.
@pawndominance1 no he did get quick haha, pga pros are quilty of gettin quick all the time because they take shortened back swings but with a full shoulder turn, good observation and F the dude that thinks you can't observe that, they aren't perfect, they hit way-ward drives all the time, it happens when you have a short on plane swing and ur tryin to hit it 400 yards haha
@MicrowavedHamster Damn. I get about 10,000 and I thought that was pretty good. But the new groves aren't as bad as some people make them out to be. You get a little less spin, but they still spin like a bitch if you aren't careful.
@oliverleehornbake I only get 9K : / Working hard on my physique though, I run 30Km a week, cycle a further 60K to school etc. and hit the gym 3x a week. On topic though; The grooves still spin a lot from the fairway. However, from the rough (and bunker!) and generally bad lies the spin is much less consistent, and just much less overal.
P.S. is consistant written as consistEnt or ConsistAnt?
@MicrowavedHamster consistEnt. The only thing I don't like about the new grooves is that Cleveland wedges, which is what I play, now put the bounce on the wedge. I have never cared about the bounce, just the degree. I think the old wedges were more consistent with their spin, but the new ones still spin just as much if ya hit them right. They make you better with your wedge game because you have to be better with them to get the same kind of spin you're used too.
@oliverleehornbake Bounce makes a huge difference, though. A wedge without any bounce is a pitching wedge with a little more loft. Our course has clay soil, so I obviously need difference bounce :) I think it's a good change though.
I wish I could do that

Classical golf swing, good positioning and superb extension. There is no wasted motion in his swing and everything is delivered to the ball.

As soon as it touches the clubhead, it's gone. Crazy, I heard he got around 17K RPM with his Sand Wedge, before the new rule obviously.
