@laurel930 I cried the whole time I was making this video. I watched him as I grew up, he was, and will always be the most versatile Arabian Stallion I ever knew! Rest in Peace.
Awww... one of my all time fave horses... just beautiful! I remember seeing him in person (at Lacey's maybe?) and he was awe inspiring... A true breed ambassador and legend.
Thank you so much for making and keeping this video on YouTube...I have enjoyed watching it over the past year and am honored to share it with family N Friends on my Facebook..~ Sincerely..RG
I remember seeing Remington Steele about twenty years ago, and he was magnificent! I used to have his picture up on my wall growing up. Its sad to see this, I didn't know. Its wonderful though, now I have one of his daughters. And he definitely lives on - the similarities are unmistakeable, the way they move is so beautiful, gorgeous lines and very intelligent. He was a remarkable horse.
Oh my gosh this video still brings tears to my eyes and the first time I saw it I completly balled and I've never even seen that magnificent stallion. I'm sure he is greatly missed.
The music is from the movie 'A Beautiful Mind". Great video, I saw Rem at the shows years before and he was always considered the "standard" of the Arabian breed. He is greatly missed.
I just found this video. I was about to meet this great stalllion a few years back. He and his owner stop at the farm I was at Enchanted Acres farm on there way to NH. We had two of his daughter's. To see this stallion up close was a amazing. Even at a older age he was breath taking. I am sadden to see of his passing.
I had a complete computer crash soon after i finished this video, i've never been able to find this track again. I've had numerous requests just as yours and I wish I knew.
I am in tears right now! I am in total shock. I emember trying to ride Rem when I "worked" on the ranch in Galt, what a powerful and beautiful stallion was all I could think. I can't believe he's gone. I just went to th Cool area to see if I could find Patti, cause I wanted to Rem, I knew he would remember me. I am so damn sad now.
I'm proud to know Rem and the Bailey family personally. What a great man Rem was and still is with is progeny. Love and Miss you Rem!! Thanks Patti for all you do for the Arabian horse world. Love ya!
Words cannot express my gratitude for all your comments I have read on this site as well as the cards I have received. The love you all shared for Rem has made his passing easier to bear....
I remember him from when I was IN the arab world. He was one of my favorites. REM was truly a once in a lifetime horse. Having recently lost my own once in a lifetime horse, I know how hard it is. This quote from Dr Suess always helps me "Don't cry because its over, Smile because it happened."
Thanks 4 the comment. I put alot of time and thought into this vid hope 2 film more soon. 2007 was a very hard year 4 me so I did'nt get 2 attend shows, but its a new year and I got some stuff up my sleeve!! Thanks 4 your luv and support fans like u r what keeps my head up and trying...
Beautiful tribute to a magnificent horse. Thank you for sharing his story. The music you chose is touching and captures the sentiment of those wonderful moments you had with Rem. I would like to know the name of your theme. Thank you for bringing Remington Steele to life for those of us who love horses.
I heard he had died from what was called an "old man's fall". It looks as though he had fallen when in his stable and received head injuries that led to his passing. So in some ways, old age could be said was part of the reason for his passing
i watched this video it made me cry i am only 13 years old i am crying of the tought you put into this horse he was well looked afta and was such a beauty what a champion !!! R.I.P REM xxx
Although I never met Rem, I'm a native of NH and an Arabian enthusiast who has always admired this amazing horse. I cam across this video by accident and am so saddened by his recent passing. My heart goes out to Patti and all those who loved this awesome stallion. He's one in a million.
Thank you so much for doing this. Seeing my brother ride him around the ring started the waterworks... not to mention my wedding picture. I can't believe he's really gone, I just rode him two months ago...
This is so beautiful. I literally sat and cried while watching it because I realize that the Arabian community has lost a horse that was completely true of heart and strong in mind. There will never be another horse quite like Remington Steele.
May God keep you in His stables forever, Remmy. We love you.
That was a beautiful tribute to a magnificent horse.. "Rem" epitomized what the Arabian horse should be... Rest in peace, Rem.. I know that God needed a horse to ride through heavens golden fields....
i actually ride one of his sons. Truly a beautiful horse.

I must say that this video brought a lump to my throat!
I use to have 2 arabians, and I know just how sensitive, and almost human like quality they can have. You people sure gave him a good life.
And I am glad that you shared it with all of us.
