  • Great video.... i am currently studing my Endgames... i have a book and its got some great material in it.... But, like you said it suxs to loose rating points on a easy mistake like that.... Love the commentary.... i have some chess vid's check them out it you get a chance... Thanks...

  • Nice :)

  • cool game. btw, what website is this?

  • at 5:18 I think g5 followed by f5 is better then h5. good game up to the blunder. I've thrown away my fair share of won games too.

  • Don't worry about rating. It's easy to regain and worth losing if you learn from it. Plus your opponent was 89 points higher than you so it's not a big loss. During the game you didn't have to sack a pawn to get a past pawn due to the irregular pawn structure. You could have made him trade evenly, leaving you with a past pawn. Also, if you know the king is about to take your pawn, you should push it and make him further from the action. But it didn't matter due to your knowledge of Trébuchet.TY

  • What is the name of the program you're using to show these videos?

  • I use babaschess to play, and then windows media encoder to record. I edit in windows movie maker.

  • At 6:04 White has a much quicker win, he can play f5-f6 undermining the support of the pawn at h6. White is threatening to play fxg7 so Black must play gxf6. Then White just plays gxh6 and queens the outside pawn.

  • That's true. Too bad I didn't give myself the chance to play this variation over the board.

  • They post the time limit as 10 min but it is actually 11 min. I don't have any special account and can post videos up to 10:59. Try it out.

  • Good game.. You just relaxed too long.. Keep making more videos..

  • Will do! I had another game today that was interesting, so I'll try to remember to record it with commentary this week. I'm analyzing it now to look for tactics. Already found a way my opponent could have forced a draw. I actually saw it in game, but took a risk that he wouldn't see it, and it paid off.

  • how many channel views do you need for directors acct?

  • I'm really not sure. It's gotta be thousands on each video, I'm sure. I've got hundreds on every vid, and over 10k on one of them, but that's not good enough, I guess.

  • i wonder if i could get one

  • Probably not. They frown upon copyrighted material. If you asked, they would end up removing your content, I imagine.

  • most of my stuff is underground and even supported by some of the artists. the more well known stuff does get removed, though.
