Not to mention if you avoid cloud, the flight stays smooth. Go through those puffy clouds you'd be boucing around for nothing. I've flown through enough cloud to not need the excitment anymore.
I was gonna say go into the cloud man then when u said 9500ft I figured you were VFR. Very nice video, I like the idea of how you did it.. THis august im taking a lance with full aspen avionics to KY from FL instead of the seneca I was planning on. I might do the same thing you did with your video :) Very nice again.
Boy have you been busy mate. Nice that your camera will do timelapses. I'm just back from 44.4 hrs flight around Australia in an PA-28-181 Archer with my wife. My vids are very primitive compared to yours. Always a joy to log on and find you have put together another master piece. Well done as usual. Cheers!
! Thanks for the video. Are you assigned an altitude? Or do you choose what you know is best for the conditions/fuel etc.? Please add the mic chatter -- is there any? Any body else up there flying? At low altitudes. [ probably some jets way up headed over the pole. but on frequencies you don't need to hear? ]
Yeah, its all uncontrolled I can do whatever I want as long as there are no traffic conflicts. Everyone is listening to 126.7 and the ATF frequencies of 122.8.. There is Class E airspace once you are 25 miles north of Moosonee and then a MF CZ in Moosonee but it is only a 3NM CZ.
There isn't much on the radio. There is quite a bit of airline traffic at times but they are with Edmonton Center above FL290 in Attawapiskat Area and in Moosonee area they are with Montreal Center above FL290. Toronto Center controls the lower IFR flights in Moosonee area. But once they are 25NM north of Moosonee even the IFR flights are uncontrolled below FL180.
I don't have any gear to record chatter right now... all I'm using for my videos (all I've ever used) is a small digital camera. (Canon Powershot A710 IS)
Attawpiskat? Not in google earth. Moosonee is 115 nm sse. Okay, drew a line out 115 nnw and found it. It's actually pretty big to not be in the database.
This music is awesome heh

Wow the clouds look like a 3D film at some points

Why won't you go through clouds?
Zeamus634 2 years ago
When flying under visual filght rules it is illegal to fly through clouds.

Sorry double post, what was your TAS return cruise?
netscion 3 years ago
TAS was 138 kts. I had a light crosswind out of the west so I was just breaking even with the ground speed.

Afraid it wasn't good? 6 stars :p

On the downloaded version I could find it fine.
jmr604 3 years ago
my version is:
Google Earth
4.3.7204.0836 (beta)
If there's an alternative with more place names I'd be happy to use it. Even if it's more fun to find stuff through Dead Reckoning.
romeo9k 3 years ago
Mine is 4.2.0205.5730.. Non beta. So, I dunno.
