  • I had my ACL repaired in 1986 where they also removed my meniscus (meniscus). Today they don't remove the meniscus , they try to repair it. Surgeons realize that if you remove the meniscus, you will eventually wear out the cartilage between the bones. I have done this and since 2001 I have been getting knee pain. Diet and losing weight seems to help, they also have cartilage repair here in Boston which I am not a candidate for, my knee is too far gone.

  • so cartilage in the knee cannot be repaired?

    im currently experiencing symptoms of knee arthritis. I refuse to believe at the age of 23 that im doomed to have such terrible pain and not be able to play sports. There must be an alternative way to relieve this.
