In fact, there is a ford scorpio owners club, in Estonia. The reason why i know this is, cause my friend wanted to sale his scorpio to spare parts and his is not very educated of comuters. So i made a profile and sell his car to parts. Maybe i should share this little vid in scorpio forum. We'll see how much more haters Clarkson gets or how much Scorpio owners end up in the hospital! Mainly beacuse their heart stops beating :D
@anti520 oh - there is UK Ford Scorpio owners club, there is quite large club in Poland - and i will not dispute about personal taste of Clarkson - Scorpio was quite good car with bit controversial design however this design make this car unique and exceptional - also at least few cars share same style - Mercedes E class , Kia, Lancia etc.
So maybe car itself is not pretty as AM Vanquish but hey, it still after 15 yrs looks good and prove that design was not so bad.
Thats the facelifted last year model of the Cosworth Scorpio!!! I would say most Scorpios are frogs, but this one has to be a rare classic! Why destroy it?
Nice car! I wish Ford reintroduced Ford Scorpio V6 and V8. If the do I'm selling ma Volvo S80 !!! I used to have 89 Scorpio 2.0, 93, 2.9 V6 and 96 2.9 V6 Cosworth. All of these cars were brilliant I loved them over BMW 5 and Volvo. Ford has made a big mistake when they stopped making Ford Scorpio !!!
Had one of these, apart from being ugly it was the best car I ever owned. It had more gadgets than any other car I've had ,it was fun to drive, It was amazingly comfortable with its giant leather memory seats and It was really fast. It cost me £150 as the previous owner thought it wouldn't pass its mot and just wanted rid of it.... it sailed through the next 3 no problem. In the end I sold it on for £500 but only because fuel had become to expensive....and it was a thirsty car! Best buy ever!

Thats pretty much the kiss of death for any car A: The bodies weren't anti-rust treated B: The metal was as tinny as a sheet of tin foil C: It had bumper plastics thinner then Mr Kipling cake wrappers. Its a Ford product Clarkson, say no more.

I mean , look a little bit at this large saloon , it did remain intact after that big frontal fall , just the engine dedicate space was smashed up. that is enough for 5 * ?
I like Top Gear Tv Show , but I really like and the Scorpios , and I will not be ever agree with the ideea that is a ugly car .
I have a 23 y.o. ford scorpio mk 1 which is a different design ,but mk 2 still remains a ford scorpio.
@dandacicus1, I actually suggested a Ford Scorpio Mk1 4 the police (the 2.9 Ghia version) but they rejected it, they said that they already had a Mk2 Scorpio.
The scorpio was the last rear wheel drive car Ford made in Europe. Such a shame to see it being smashed.

We have two Scorpios like this. They are 16 and 14 years old and still reliable cars.
You should honor the cars and not destroy them unnecessarily!

Why did he destroy an Ultima with a Cosworth V6 :(?
He could have at least killed off a bottom of the range four cylinder eight valve Executive wihch had seats, a steering wheel and that was about it.
I don't like the Scorpio but at least kill off a shit one rather than one with all the toys and a nice engine!
