  • this movie seemed to be patterned from peter pan....wala nabang original na pinoy story...gaya-gaya parin ?

  • BAKIT WALANG DVD?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

  • hi! me DVD ba to? Sayang naman pag wala!

  • unfortunately for the new folks from outside of phil who just discovered this movie like me, we wont be able to watch it... i tried the pirate way but nadah..

  • May batang babae! May pakpak! *sabay piyok* xDDD

Gusto ko mapanuod ito. :( Ngayon ko lang siya natuklasan. Urduja lang ang alam ko dati. Mukhang maganda to. :(

  • Can anyone tell me if there's a DVD for this movie?? Im in australia and would love to watch it...

  • i'm glad gawa to ng mga pinoy...boses ni pokwang yung isang dragon. lol

  • its called taglish.combinaton of tagalog & english.pilipino people can speak both language.dyan ka lng wg m ko kakainin..

  • Just saw this movie and im glad to say it was awesome. The animation, sound track, music score and of course the story is top. Definitely a great family movie. Saludo ako sa gumawa nito.

  • Maraming salamat =)

  • if its a philipino movie then how come a couple of characters speak english, or at least the horse thing does

  • if they were speaking english this movie will be all over the world!!

    i'am proud to be pinoy!

  • to stupid persons giving negative comments,,

    beware,,

the age of the PHILIPPINES is coming,,,

and the age of the so called "FIRST WORLD COUNTRIES" are nearly over,,

i believe in the RISE and FALL of civilization,,,

this is just the beginning of Philippine animation,,

  • @DrumlordAnjo09 actually we already had our top but unfortunately, we fell but we surely hope we will rise again. :D

:) ang mhl nmn nyan.. hehe., pgna2lo dpt my gft kmi.. hehe

  • sana marami pang pinoy animated films.. pag comedy bagay diyan si dolphy at tito vic and joey

  • LOVE IT

  • most of walt disneys animators were filipinos, so filipinos can create a lot of animated movies but it needs a lot of money and time and i think ito na ang simula ng production ng filipino animated movies in the philippines and i hope there some sponsors who's willing to give some to support this kind of animations. and i bet in the next few years it will be in 3D....

  • Hello Arn. I've read about the Treasure Planet budget on a magazine here in UK but I trying my best to get the link for you. I see. I agree to some point that it is actually a suicide but I think they'll get there. They've already reached publicity here in the UK. ;)

  • Hi Arnkristoff. Let me answer your question. It's actually true that Dayo costs $1.3M but it doesn't mean that it's a financial suicide. These kind of animated films need big production. Big production means BIG budget so we are talking at about 100M-200M US dollars. Treasure Planet, which is under the production of Walt Disney, costs $140M including post production. Dayo is nearly comparable to the quality of the film (except for some scenes that looked like it was executed poorly in Flash)...

  • ...I also don't think that Dayo has a poor promotion because I've encountered advertisements in prints here in UK. I think Cutting Edge Productions is trying to get a bigger target market internationally. Don't say it's suicide. Let's just hope this film will earn more recognition. :-)

  • what's up with filipinos and using taglish and english... are you ashamed of your own language??

  • No. Are you filipino? Because if you are, then you'd know it's the vernacular we use (like the Indian "Hinglish") We have cultural affinity with America so English is widely spoken. Of course Taglish is not accepted in academic and professional settings. It's either you use pure Tagalog or English :)

  • i'm not filipino but i did live there for 2 years, learned the language and probably speak tagalog better then most filipinos. I like the philippines and have a lot of filipino friends, i know all about your history as a spanish/ american possession, but i still will never understand why filipinos try so hard to be proud to be filipino by speaking english??

  • I dunno. Perhaps you just met people who are like that. My friends are not like that. :) One can never generalize. I doubt that you speak better Tagalog than most of us but I'm happy that you tried to write in our language here. Dude, here I am, living proof that many of us Filipinos are proud of the language. Maraming Salamat!

  • Walang anuman. :-D

  • Pinoy here living in US West Coast, LA. Yes I'll be home in Pinas soon. That's very good Tagalog you just wrote there ;P

  • I even once had a kid in a manila squatter once ask me what "tire" was in english, i just replied that "tire" is english and gulong is tagalog for tire

  • But that's a squatter dweller. You should go back to Manila and re-experience Filipino culture in an academic or formal setting. But then again, many poor people are also aware of their culture.

  • Looks awesome!! When are they gonna release this on DVD? To Dayo's s2pid critics - to hell with them coz all they do is talk s4it and compare to western or Japanese animation. Just have fun watching period.

  • Oh wow, pang Disney! Go Philippines!

  • Sequel! Sequel! Sequel! Sequel!

  • At hindi love story ang DAYO, how come na naging same plot?

  • Historical fantasy - invented names & story

    * Best Visual Effects - Robert Quilao

    * Best Sound - Whannie Dellosa and Mike Idioma

  • napanuod ko to.. a total of 7 persons lan ang nasa sinehan... dec. 26,2008... sa Robinsons IMUS.. kahit pa nilangaw eto sa IMUS... e nakita ko ang ganda at galing ng movie... very inspirational and napakasimple but mganda ang aral...

  • too much analogy. they spent much for a well made film. nothing suicide about that. this is a huge investment for the animation industry. their intention goes beyond the film festival. its a big step in developing the animation industry in the philippines. be proactive and just be thankful for the quality film.

    please support dayo.

  • oo nga eh, kapag may nagawang ok ang Pinoy. Siguraduhin mong Pinoy din ang unang mamimintas. Utak kasi laging kinukumpara sa ibang ´bansa. This is really impressing, hihitayin ko to sa DVD.
