Alright, I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so stop fighting over which or what is better, Halo is a great trilogy, I played it since I was about ten, and, it just amazed me, and Portal? Portal was epicly funny, and also a great puzzle game (I accually thought there wouldn't be a puzzle game that doesn't make you mad every three minutes, but look!) Both games are great in their own ways, it just matters how you think, not what other people like. :P

Half-Life doesn't support co-op on it's own, but people have made third-party modifications such as Sven-Coop to make it possible.

Half-Life doesn't limit weapons, as it derives from Quake, but if you use the same weapon consistently you're going to find you run out of ammo pretty fast.

Half-Life has multiplayer, as well as several modifications to mix things up. Want a gun that shoots grenades? You got it. Flamethrower that shoots nails? Coming right up. Low gravity? Sure!

I'm not saying Halo is a bad game, I'm saying it's overrated. I enjoyed many hours playing Halo: Custom Edition on the PC. It was brilliant. But Microsoft turned the other cheek and catered made it a console exclusive so more people would shell out the money for a 360. Thanks, but no thanks - I'll stick with Steam. Steam has good deals - I recently bought 18 games for the price of one. Great stuff.

The beauty of the PC is just that - modding capabilities. Custom weapons, maps, vehicles for Halo, entirely new games, singleplayer and multiplayer, for Half-Life - and new vehicles, and multiplayer modes for GTA: San Andreas. None of this is possible on any console.

Halo is fun, but Halo 2 and 3 are a bit stale. They're 'good' games I suppose, I guess I'm biased towards the original considering how much I played it, and how awesome the storyline and music were.

yeah legendary on halo 3 is a bit easier than in halo 1 but thats mainly because u have recharging energys shields and no health bar and it can support 4 player coop were the origianal halo and halo 2 had only split screen coop but forge in halo 3 is amazing the ability to remain in maps you know and enjoy but then to modify those map to your liking to make the experience differant and theater to take screen shot. odst would be a disappointment but fire fight makes up for the game being short

This doesn't work as well on console versions of the game. I did this first time on PC but am now up to attempt 8 on the 360 because the controls are like treacle even with the sensitivity turned up as far as it will go.
