If this story were credible it would have been all over the mainstream news. We would be talking multimillion dollar lawsuits flying all over the place.
until this "great grandson" Neil posts other recordings i will call this a "sham" .... which format was this taken from, the click indicate the speed and its sounds too much like a modern recoding system. now i'm not saying it isn't possible but do a search on this gentleman and you'll find nothing BUT this report !!! So when is he gonna sue Mr. Jagger ... answer never
this is a hoax - it does not have an authentic sound - the person who recorded the hoax should have used the same type of mics and recording gear used in the 30s. besides that, it would not have taken over 40 years for such a huge hit (by an even bigger band that was under every microscope the world over) to be discovered as someone else's song.
Keith has some interesting stories in his book about Mick's songwriting saying he tends to "absorb things up like a sponge" while writing music. He said that Mick unknowingly copied K.D. Lang's song Constant Craving while they were recording Anybody See My Baby? and they had to credit it to K.D. in order to avoid being sued. This does not surprise me, wonder what else Mick has claimed credit for as well?
I "Like" that sound like it's GRAMMAPHONE! -The Great Gatsby- Worries in any time frame of our lives but the 20's! the 30's!...so many 'Bluegrass tunes stand as the Best, by the Original Artist!..thanks to the Rolling Stones (the song rock n rolled) but Thank You, neilnathan and now, the truth!
This is a sham....just look at the picture guys.....cummon!!!!!!

Well good lord Mick Jagger, what other obscure songs did he rip off too?! This is so not right for the Stones to rake in royalties for this, shameful

Wow! I've hear rumors about this for years. I can't believe it finally surfaced. It's like finding the Holy Grail.
