Who told u that I am hiding all comments. I am not hiding any comment. Whatever comments r there r all crystal clear. It is only u who has written adverse comments. That means either u don't understand or others who have commented nicely don't understand music.
you may be his relative or friend. see its all depends upon the person who hear his audio and see his vedio and who attend his live conerts. so why r u getting angry with my comments?
Well, I am not his relative. I am his fan. For ur information, I am not angry also. Among the comments I have seen, only ur opinion differs with others. that is why I wrote , either u don't understand or others.
I am not sure what was the original comment which gave rise to this arguments, but I must say that the quality of audio is not good at all and it doesn't do service to a very good musician like Pt Mevundi. Maybe it would be worth putting a warning on the post that the audio is not very good.
Well, maalati1 wrote that Jayateerth Mevundi(JM) immitates Bhimsen Joshi, by immitating, he won't become BJ, he should change his style, it is boring to listen to him, and he does over Naatak etc. You may read all those comments and my replies. Only Maalati1 has written adverse comments and nobody else, which indicates Maalati1's understanding of Classical Music.
I agree that the quality of some videos and audio r not good.
There is a big difference between replicating the style of your gharana and blatantly imitating a single artist. It is refreshing to see artists like Jayateerth who are committed to the rich tradition of the kirana gharana when most performers today are jumping from one gharana to another. It is really ironic to hear these comments because Pt. Bhimsen Joshi himself faced the same criticism when he was young--that he blatantly copied Pt. Savai Gandharva and will never reach his level:)
Hi Arung: Thank you so much for uploading these videos Jayateerth Mevundi's videos. I heard him live on my visit to India this year and was awe struck. I have become a big fan. He will definitely carry on the legacy of the great Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. It so reassuring to see the bright future of the Kirana gharana and Indian classical music. Please do keep posting new videos.
