In my opinion godzilla is better then zilla. I grew up with the old godzilla movies like gidorah the space monster and godzilla vs mothera so that godzilla is my favosite. The new one is graet but I don't think he compares to the clasic. I'm actualky glad zilla got crushed by godzilla in final wars but the fight should have ben longer.

@ClevergirlProduction You do realize the Toho version of King Kong had to be up sized to even fight Godzilla. The real Kong is only 25ft tall. They also made Godzilla weaker (he gets hurt by electricity, even though it never hurt him in the first place). Not to mention they gave Kong the power of electricity and he was recharged at the end of the film by a bolt of lighting. All this happed because the film was actually supposed to be Godzilla vs Frankenstein.

The battle between American Godzilla and Japanese Godzilla was short because of Fan bias/opinion. In real life, the battle would've of been much longer. No offense. But I don't want a future where Godzilla looks like some monster from the 1950's 60's what so ever. Kids and teens are hypocritical about the original forms. They should be liking things made around the 90's-2000's, it makes more sense. Don't act like some old guy aged 80 years in the future. No Offense.

Dont see why your mad saying they have fought when they did in Godzilla Final Wars (Japan hated our Godzilla and renamed it and even spoke about it in Godzilla mothra ghidorah monsters all out attack saying new york was attacked by godzilla like monster), and Godzilla in final wars killed him in under 3 minutes with kick ass music in the background. New Godzilla Movie on the other hand 2011 baby, and the rough sculptures look kick ass too. Thank you sony isnt in charge this time.

@TheMassacre505 Actually you just need to google it. A new Godzilla film will be coming out in 2012 by Legendary Pictures (Watchmen, 300, Dark Knight). It will not be a sequel to the 98' Godzilla and they won't be using the Zilla monster design. It's going to be a darker movie as well and a new monster design. No actors or, pictures or trailers are available. They have yet to say when they'll start filming but they are going to make one.

I think in Godzilla final wars, the fight should have been more epic, I like both Godzilla and Zilla, but the fight was to damn short. I hope one day they do make a Godzilla vs Zilla movie

I don't deny that Godzilla would beat Zilla, but I do know that the fight was still too short, it was more like a driveby than a real fight, Godzilla IS more powerful than Zilla, but admitingly, Zilla is faster, and should have lasted longer than he did.

first off the movie you are talking about is in the Millenium era Godzilla lost to King Kong in the Showa era (two completely different storylines) plus in reality King Kong didn't win in the original japenese version it was a draw as no monster came out of the water, but in the usa version since Kong was a USA monster he came out of the water, in short the version u saw was a usa version meaning it was edited so he would win

Toho had to upgrade Kong and weaken Godzilla. First they made Kong bigger than his actual size and they gave him powers to match up Godzilla. Electricity was never Godzilla's weakness until KK vs Godzilla. That being said, it's a myth that there are 2 versions of the film. It actually ended up a draw despite the upgrades Toho has given Kong.

Second, the makers of the new Godzilla had to get permission from the old makers in order not to infringe upon copywrite requirements and, apparently, they didn't consider it evil. I mean, for it to be even CLOSE to a fair fight, Zilla would need more characteristics of Godzilla, like the atomic breath. But even then it would be too easy, as Zilla is not practically indestructible, he was taken out by missiles. But, King Kong was taken out by MACHINE GUNS, but he was resized and equipped appropriately. The same could be done for Zilla.
