  • cara...como é que poucos americanos conhecem esse cara....é um dos melhores da decada de 2001/2010....

  • sounds like noel gallaghers new tune

  • @bobbelibob Madonna is more than a commercial popstar. She is an intelligent woman who has written songs that her competitors in the business couldn't even dream of. She was part of art installations such as X-STaTIC pro-ceSS", which goes so much deeper than what other mainstream "artists" have touched. Maybe try listening to her "American Life" album, I think you'll get it then. Henry certainly did.

  • @lucyintheskywithcake I have listened to the album, and it isn't bad. But listening to her music in generel is a tough job. Have you listened to her most recent stuff?

  • @bobbelibob Well, you're right about that. A few songs are good such as "Devil wouldn't recognize you" are strong with good lyrics, but most of it was below her level. I think warner music may have something to do with it. Not trying to excuse it, but keep in mind that they knew this was her last album with them. It also wouldn't be the first time to hear that she made songs that warner didn't allow her to release because they weren't "hip" enough.

  • @bobbelibob Live Nation should give her a lot of freedom (not that warner didn't, American Life and Erotica aren't exactly radio friendly or very commercial, but again they may have given her all the freedom she wanted because of the long contract - until Live Nation came into the picture and they got annoyed about losing their biggest name) anyway, this was the first time she disappointed some people, but as far as pop artists go, I still think that she's far better and more experimental than

  • @bobbelibob most commercial artists from the last 30 years. She's not the best singer in the world, but read interviews with her past (and respectable) producers and you'll quickly find out that she's a very underrated and underestimated writer AND producer. However, to each their own of course. :)

  • @bobbelibob PS. I feel like such a lady gaga fan now trying to prove to you that she's more than just a silly pop star, they're quite annoying. So sorry for all the comments.. I swear that I'm not one of "those" young & annoying fans ;) x

  • @lucyintheskywithcake That's ok. You have some very interesting thhings to say. Maybe I was a bit hard on Madonna. I actually think Ray of Light is a fine album - as good as a pop album can be. But I still think she's the product of a product - at least that's what she has become.

  • Such great talent almost always goes completely ignored by the polluted musical mainstream public. You can't force feed a musically handicapped public music of this quality...they prefer to eat the musical equivlent of unhealthy fast food!

    So sad indeed!!!

Joe clearly is influenced by Tom Waits and the late Robert Hazards acoustic/americana stuff.

  • Agree. But I don't understand his fascination of Madonna. No matter what family has to say.

  • Her ass! LMAO!

  • Her money!

  • Yeah, but doesn't that take away some of his integrity?

  • Hmmmmmmmmmm...don't know, I'm partial to the female behind myself and money is always nice...but as a working musician playing jazz...I see little real money and have little time for the other! :o) Maybe he's just lucky!

  • Yeah... But imagine Tom Waits working together with Britney Spears. Money is no real concern of mine. I'm talking about the music - I love a lot of Henry's music but when you're talkin about the decay of the musical scene today and in general people's taste in radio music... I still can't figure out why. Is it just the money? I don't hope so. But then again, I don't hope he really thinks that Madonna is interesting.

  • Maybe she is interesting??? It wouldn't be the first time an artists public image/face dosen't mtch the real person!

  • @bobbelibob part of it might be that he is married to her sister.. and what specific collab are you talking about?
