When ever I use my pedals in-front of the interface, its sounds weird. Specially for overdrive and distortion, as if the sounds was robbed of all the rich harmonics from either end and kinda fuzzy. The clean is pretty decent though. What if i wanna use my amp along with my pedals(by running my pedals through amp) and then take the line out from the amp and plugging it into the interface(instead of mic-ing the amp). Will it work?? It works fine with Soundforge and Acid pro..so i wont use Protools

Hey whats the problem? I have it for all the time. for example I open Guitar Pro with my tabs and then Guitar Rig or Waves GTR and then this thing hops up - The ASIO sample rate is not supported by one of the USB interfaces. Please check your sync settings in control panel. What is this sh*t? I can't even record with pro tools it is not recognize my M AUDIO FAST TRACK :( I got my CD with M AUDIO drivers and I installed latest ASIO drivers, but still got this damn thing :(

Can someone explain me why there is line in for guitar? If I record my guitar with mic in front of my amp? If I put my guitar straight to audio interface, whats the point? Or is it possible to plug your guitar to AMP and then am plug to audio interface?

@ridiska for guitar and vocals.. or you could be pro and mic your amp.. then add amp and cab sims later with 1/4 in through a separate channel to layer them.

@ridiska There is a SansAmp Virtual instrument that you can configure to sound like just about any amp. When you plug your guitar into the line in it is the same as plugging into an amplifier but it is routed to the SansAmp.

@ridiska no, it just give you two alternative ways to record with your instrument, you can put your guitar straight to the audio interface in the guitar input with a pedal in the middle (it will help you to get the sound youre looking for), there is no amp needed this way. And the other way is to record with a mic in front of the amp, in that case you just have to plug the mic in the mic input.

But is not possible to plug your amp to the audio interface.

@LookTube3 if you have 2 microphones, you can record stereo. You can also multi-track to get stereo if you are playing by yourself. Mono and stereo is handled mostly by your software.

got this recently It was great at first but it became defected and started disfunctioning.All i hear is loud static, also gave cracks and pops when it was working good.It doesnt even have a button to switch from headphones to speakers.U have to keep taking the headphone jack out to listen on speakers.Felt like i paid 99% for ProTools and 1% for the FastTrack.I have 3 years experience with mboxes in schooling.Spend that extra money on top notch signal like Mboxes or other advanced Fast Tracks.

@sayandas27 Sound quality isn't that great, I've been using the M-Audio with Rode NT-1A.. I've used a lot of USB and Firewire interfaces, this is not one of the better ones. Best one I've used is the Presonus Inspire 1394.

@utlajohn11 try to uninstall pro tools and use the guide giving to you or pull it from the internet and reinstall pro tools step by step as said in the guide and to uninstall go to programs and features from the control panel and another reason is because you probably don't have a iLock i dont know if it can work without it or not but it will bring more accuracy to pro tools

@chaoticfables No, not really, that's what I have and it made my NEW computoir crash twice. Also the drivers you have to get off their website...no real big deal but why does it say Windows 7 compatible. Then, if you have issues and go to the trouble shooting window it doesn't cover windows 7, just vista and XP. Lastly, the instructions don't match the software. It'll tell you to click onto buttons that doesn't exist, etc!
