  • I remember growing up in Cincinnati, back in the mid to late 70's, and in my neighborhood, you had garage bands. A lot of those guys went on to play with some of the Ohio groups like Midnight Star, the Deele, Bootsy Collins, the Ohio Players, Heatwave, Roger and Zapp, and more. I went to Ohio University freshman taer in 1985, and getting turned on to the Dazz Band by some of my Cleveland classmates. I have been a fan since. Their songs remain in my all time favorite slow jams..

IT WAS GREAT

  • @purple8414 I graduated from South High School, class of 81' myself, and I remember our annual talent shows well. The Dazz Band was one of the classic groups during that time.....LOVE them!!

  • This is my favorite song by the Dazz Band. This is the kind of song that can make you fall in love with love., And Skip Martin's lead on this song is awesome. It takes me back. I'm a romance writer, and this type of music gets my mojo working.

  • OMG! They don't make music like this anymore, I grew up on 147th off Kinsman in Cleve, Oh...These guys were the Kinsman Dazz Band & later dropped the Kinsman once they grew (Black HIstory Fact, lol).. this song makes me all warm & fuzzy inside, I miss these guys, they should have been as big as the other male groups back then like O'Jay's, Spinners, Temptations etc. because they were right up there fwiw..OLD SCHOOL, yall don't know nothing bout dat!!!

  • @2Umsjean Growing up off W 130th and Pearl back in the day, I was turning on to the likes of the Dazz Band, Gap Band and the whole music scene was alive. I saw Aretha Franklin, OJays Temptations in the stadium the same summer I saw the Rolling Stones. One of the very best albums of all time, Off the Wall, propelled this groove and melody. Dazz Band and Cleveland? what's not to like?WZAK jammed.

This song came first, then a little paradise by the dashboard light.

    Metroparks here we go...

  • @2Umsjean I was just tellin my sweetie a couple weeks ago that the Dazz Band was originally known as Kinsman Dazz for Kinsman in Cleveland, we are both from Y-town and he said he never knew that. We graduated 79'-81', and the Kinsman Dazz was and still is one of my favorite back in the day groups!!!

  • Back in the day, we had a group in Youngstown, Ohio called "NuTune". Frank Lope, Randy the keyboard playa and myself, BDCroom. We sang this song and many others at all the local talent shows. The crowd went crazy when I hit the high falsettos on this song. Tried hitting those notes again about a year ago. I did once, but it took a little work. Man, those were the days. Thanks for posting this. Look out "Yo"! I might be doing this with the local group "Total Package" sometime soon!

  • I love the music that the Soul music family continues to bring us here. love this song still after all of these years!!!

  • Some of the sickest tenors in the game. Cleveland, Ohio baby this is how we got down in Ohio.

Produced some of the baddest bands to ever do it.

  • yeah!!!!! you already know!!!!!! Cleveland all the way!

  • Im with you on that but we can't forget Dayton. Ohio was doing its thing in the 70's & 80's with acts that made it into the mainstream.

  • @eastbrookmusic ... Man it seen as if Ohio put out some of the best singers, and music I've ever heard. Is it me or could I be correct on that and I'm out of Las Vegas.

  • The Dazz band was so underrated. Adding this to my baby making play list....RIGHT NOW!

  • Man, I remember way back getting a nice little slow grind to his song...if you were out on the floor when this was playing you knew you were getting a little sumpin sumpin afterwards....LOL. School dances and house parties were the shit back then. Kids nowadays have no idea...

  • It is hilarious to hear folks reminisce about old loves when this first came out.

I think about someone also when I hear this song. She chose to have kids by different "baby's daddies," and still lives in the same small, racist, redneck town we met in. I dodged a huge bullet, LMBAO. Back then you couldn't tell me nothing bad about her. You could have drove 4 or 5 lowriders up my nose it was so wide open. LOL

I wish her well-E.M.D, good luck with all you do.

  • this was my favorite song when i was in school in cleveland. now its one of the hardest to find.love this song!!!

  • yo this is the kind of song you send with a dozen roses, man if she dont go out with you after this .just leave it alone brother"and check me at woodsofresh

  • I love all the Dazz Band songs. But this one here is my most favorite of all!!!

  • This is real music and what and I great love song I use to slow dance off this song back in the early 80's..

  • The Dazz Band is best known for it's Grammy award winning hit "Let It Whip", However, true fans of the group remember their soulful ballads that consisted of; Dazz Intro Knock Knock. Heartbeat. Until You. Gamble w/my love. Bad Girl. Laughing at You. Stay Awhile. Slow Rap. Just believe in love. So much love. When you needed Roses. Invitation to Love.
  • OMG - these songs bring back so many memories. It's really hard to find some of these especially Bad Girl. I would love to hear that one again

  • only got this on vinyl which jumps all over, nice to hear it clean, beautiful track

  • no problem

  • THIS TRACK IS HALLE BERRY BEAUTIFUL.
