That's neat (the video), I look forward to see flocking and obstacle avoidance implemented into games on a large scale like the 1024 planes seen flying in your video. Neat 4/5
only thing they dont mention is that the processing power used to calculate this is will result in less processing power available for the graphics because it runs on the same gpu ;)
Why should they bother mentioning it? It's obvious :P.And isn't there a way to use one gpu for things like physx and one for the graphics rendering simultanously, anyway? So...if such a technology would be used in games, there would be still a way to maximize rendering speed for graphics only by relaying the A.I. processing onto a secondery GPU,or not? ^^'
Well,if one hasn't done any research in that matter already or isn't a gamer, then it might indeed not be that obvious. But nvidia also doesn't present cooking videos. They create hardware and demo presentations for potential customers or developers. And besides that, everyone who has interest will probably want to read more about what he has seen and self-inform him/herself a little about the technology,if not, they're too lazy, disinterested,or unaware of "google" :P.
Very impressing, good work :)

I don't think Nvidia made a demo with ATI GPU.

Uninteresting if you don't know which hardware was used.

haha, why should someone automaticly know that because he is a gamer?
exactly! without research you dont know, thats my point
