Of all the JFK Jr. clips I've seen anywhere, this is my favorite because for some reason, I can see Jackie Kennedy as one of those proud moms that say to everyone even those they don't know "That's my baby everybody!!! That's my baby!!!"
LOLOLOL!! My mom did it to me and I see it a little!! :)
Notice, he's the one the camera is focusing on.. - there has to be a heaven, where else would he go when he passed? The finest of the fine has left us.. goodness gracious.
They don't, but Jackie Kennedy was brought up in New England high society and that part of America during the first half of the 20th century kept some British words. Jackie called her mother mummy, so I guess she taught that to her children.
Interesting! Thanks for the history lesson. It just struck me as strange because my sisters and I refer to our mother as mummy, but I don't know of any other Americans who do that.
You're welcome! So, you're American and you refer to your mother as mummy? Which part of the States? It might play a role. Audrey Hepburn also referred to her mother as Mummy and her children called her that too- but then again- she was really European.
acutally the reason why he called her "mummy" is because his nanny was from London, england and she did most of the raising when the were little and she instored her english values in him and his sister. I read that in a book on him =]
Unlike his father, JFK junior was faithful & loyal to his woman. Respect.

Hmm, I was surprised. I didn't think Americans addressed their mothers as "mummy."

His dad's charm and wit mixed with his mother's intelligence and warmth. The good people of this world die young.
