Played it when it was still subscription based wit a limited free trial area.

Kinda expected (read: hoped) it to go f2p someday.

It's a very cool game and now that it's f2p i'll be playing it again a lot more (finished the free trial zone a while back :p )

And the fact that it's developed by a dutch company is just another pls :p lots of dutch player (read: friendly, cool people)

When i go to play the game it starts to update (i just downloaded it) but the update goes like 0.01 then after 5 mins it goes 0.02 and iv let it go on for a day now and its still 25.3% done please help i really want to play this game!

yea, it's an okay game, BUT it will not have any patches until they release the fully free version.

Right now you can play with all of the stuff that subscribers got before acclaim made it "free"

Pros:

Outstanding player skill based combat system

Graphics

Lots of quest

Cons:

Need UI indicator on where NPC are located. (minimap helps ONLY if the NPC is in radius, or by memory if u can)

Many quest info are confusing (that doesn't help when the maps are so huge and u have to run around all day, lost looking for a NPC or quest objectives)

I rate this game a 6 or 6.5 coz the quest system is so jacked up. BTW CoS is a quest based game, but u will be lost most of the time while doing them.

I played through the first 8 or so levels of the game and basicaly had to stop because the combat system was pretty frustrating. I understand they wanted to add some more skill to fighting but this is not a fun way to do it. The skill rotation system is excellent, but targeting is awful. Basicaly if you are a mage you have to make sure your crosshair is over the target as you are casting or you will fail. It doesnt sound like much but try it out and you will understand.

Man this game will never get any players if all you people are the targets. I see people wanting the gear to be usefull, and the graphics to be better, and you think it is like WoW, and all that crap. This game is a lot more skillbased, forget gear, run around half naked if it amuses you. This is skill (and level) based, strategy, aiming, dodging. And the stats, well, you mess with them during the fights, with a lot of buffes and debuffes. Why cant you get it, its not WoW, so dont expect WoW?

ya you really gotta try it to feel how amazing the game really is just looking at a video wont help in ya, so the graphics are'nt that great but the game play in the way you can just combine in make your skills is incredible i think that is more important then just looking good.

its so cool how low lvl can just own a higher lvl do to skills not like most mmos where lvls do count.

If I understand this correctly: If you live in the UK, Spain or Italy you won't be able to play with rest of Europe, only with USA, a very strange business decicion indeed. Only 11 countries that are considered to be in Europe apparently and they will play on their own separate server. Weird.

No its not Free2play. Read their website more carefully. It has a Free2Play Newbie zone instead of a trial like most mmos. Its a pay to play game

Yeah, that can be frustrating if you're into classic RGP combat systems. As a shooter fan - I loved the blend of classic RPG and FPS style-fighting found in Mass Effect for example.

Well I was kinda just by the name but after really looking at it kinda looks like a mix of world of warcraft and the landscape of Sudeki (from Xbox). For some reason i hate combat when your fighting haveing to move and control the camera at the same time.
