It really bothers me when people say things like "God blessed her well". No, he didn't. She has been successful because she has worked hard and she looks good because she takes care of herself. I don't like the implication that this God you speak of makes some people more special and deserving of love than others. Furthermore, I think Jewel herself would be appalled by that idea.  She is anti-social Darwinism. That is her whole schtick.

In her case, not jst her voice, but her sensitvity to wrte and project the message. I can´t sing like that and I´m blessed by God. The thing is tht as a beliver (as she totally is), the more one surrender to him, the more he works towards oneself. But I agree, hard work is necessary to develop any talent.
