She did a great Grace Slick impersonation. They could have told her she had a great voice, that might have helped. Instead, they insulted her. I'm glad she stuck it right up them before her sad demise, which I was sorry to learn about via 4ft11 below. Incidentally, Slick did not consider herself a good singer, just a confident one with the right sound for her band. Sad to see sheer tactlessness generating such vitriol.

I think the judges had it spot on, she'd be perfect in some 60s/70s cover band. Her voice does sound a bit like Grace Slick and she has a pushy attitude as well that would be fine in smallish venues. That's her limits though.

I agree with randy. She was a good singer, but not a good pop singer. There was one season where a girl sang phantom of the opera beautifully, but didnt get very far in the competition because she didnt sing pop songs very well. This is essentially american pop idol, although it's kind of becoming country idol too.
