I was visiting family in DL this week, and heard the whistle in the video from our home on Shorewood Drive. I loaded up and tried to catch it, but it was too late. Too bad I didn't know about it. Was very cool standing outside drinking coffe and hearing a steam whistle in the distance.

Man O' Man, what an engine! I saw it just out of Elk River, MN and saw it runnin' down the line next to Highway 10. In Elk River over the crossing they could only do walking speed because of track work. Then I saw it in Minneapolis Junction.

Yeah, that's where they were headed next, then chicago, then michigan I believe.

261 in repair. So normally the 261 runs in the fall but this engine is going to run it's line along the river.

They were only going 60 on an 80 mph line I think.

Top speed for freight on this line is 60, for passenger it is 79, 4449 was limited to around 65.
