This song is beautiful, but it highlights one of the problems I have with Einaudi. This song is so incredibly similar to Bella Notte, they might as well be the same. It's as though he needed another song to go with his Echoes collection that he just put the same song twice and changed some of the notes.
Hi people if you like this track there might be a chance you like some of my stuff.... if you have just a min please check my channel out :0) Thank you
wow this song is captivating me in a way that not many manage to do so! It makes me remember sad and happy moments, meetings with friends and strangers, places I saw and experiences I made. Hats off to this masterpiece!
I have been a long time Rock fan and have just recently discovered this amazing man and his music. I have to say that when he plays, and it doesn't matter which song, the music reaches down into the deepest part of you and grabs hold of your emotions, good or bad, pulls them out and puts them right in your face. Not to be ignored. You can feel calm and at peace or the flood gates can open wide and there you sit in a puddle. So moving and powerful. I've never experienced anything like it.
@Msdistarr you've said it much better than i can. he is incredible at what he does. the depth of his music is beyond measure. it leaves you speechless and in a whirlwind of emotions or at a simple ease. it's pure beauty.
@maccxxattack8 I only discovered his music a little over a month ago and to my amazement, he is coming to my neck of the woods (Oregon) next month. I couldn't believe it. Of course I got tickets right away. I introduced my sister to his music and she loves it as well, so I decided to suprise her and take her with me. I am so looking forward to seeing him (and my sister too). I think we will just have to make it a sister's weekend out.
@Msdistarr I've been very lucky to see him twice (Once on the Nightbook tour and once doing his solo tour) both times I was completely blown away. You will gain an amazing insight into his music and inspiration (he talks about this during the evening). Listening to him live is.... well - you'll see, and you'll remember with perfect clarity (not ashamed to say I tears in my eyes more than once on both evenings)
@Msdistarr I'm a long time Punk, Rock, and Metal fan, i discovered Einaudi about a year ago and i've loved him ever since. really quite odd that someone who loves Punk, Rock and Metal could find such pleasure in listening to such emotional piano music but i dont know anyone besides my grumpy oap father who has at any point disliked einaudi
@FearlessRLC96 I was suprised myself at how much I truly loved his music. Pretty much became obsessed with it. There is something about it that carries you away, outside of yourself, which is a place we all need to be quite often. And it is emotional. It draws your emotions right to the surface, which I think is healthy as we always try to stuff them down without dealing with them. Lastly, I think the only people who could possibly dislike his music, are the close minded. Peace !!
Whilst listening to the start of this song I happened to look up at the pictures of pale blue and gold butterflies on my wall and they fitted together so well. :)
This is definately one of my favourite pieces of music!
1. Sugar rush: like the fast food industry, musicians today have learned how to get the most bang for their buck. They make sounds that are immediately likable, like sugar and oils are, as opposed to sounds that are subtle and take adjustment, like the taste of wine or coffee.
2. Focus shift: music is no longer the center of attention, but something we can hear passively while we multitask. (Understanding subtleties requires attention... hence point #1.)
I have always said the music industry is highly flawed these days, and I think that this is the best description of why. More good quality music is needed, which can be appreciated properly, played from the heart, played with pure beauty and talent and not altered in studios.
@willgarrett64 I suppose I'm torn... clean studio track recording, after-editing, synthesis, and even recombination - patchwork music, like Pomplamoose's songs - have made music, much like art, attainable to the middle and lower class, which is a vast improvement.
Chances are, we would never have heard Bach or Beethoven if we lived in their times.
Some cheapening is inevitable, but I expect a musical grassroots movement soon.
"No man is an iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee...."
very very very beautiful. This is my favourite kind of modern music
the thing with this music, though, is that while it is deep and emotional I wouldn't say it's 'uplifting'. you listen to it too long and it gets a bit depressing
@moifv Try by ear if you can't find the sheets, I know it's not that easy for everyone but it's really productive if you at least try... Don't fear any mistakes, for mistakes are ment to learn from them ;)
Just take your time, listen good to the play and try to memorize it, and then try to search the piano keys to it, first just simplify it and when you think you're ready try to make it more complex like Einaudi does.
It would hardly influence anyone, with the current population and diversity of human kind, you wont be able to get everyone to agree on one thing. specially not music.
otherwise you would actually see war and poverty disappearing :D
Hey I sound that's great to be able to listen and feel is the bests, others may think it's a joke but what you learn from your heart is all what matters!! take care and grow
@JJRandom1 You need better friends, then. I'm glad you "get it" though. Don't ever think you're weird for understanding what having heart and passion sounds like.
I'm gonna make a fat beat to this. It needs to be a little more triumphant. Don't get me wrong, so beautiful... just so sorrowful and I want to make it happier
Now I'm floating on the thoughts of another life. Those torturing "what if-s", my soul untroubled. Yet I understand one thing: you can float in that other life for some time, but eventually you'll have to sink into reality.
sorry matey to hear that you dont appreciate this kind of music, may I just say that this is not crap music.... this music is pure class and so touching... nevertheless u u got every right not to like this kind of music but to call it crap shows just your intellect and never make this mistake again. take this advice from me as one day u might need it.

I have been listening to L. Einaudi's music for quite some times but boy does he makes wonders...its simply pure, simply beautiful , simply the best.
I cant describe how I feel but I tell you that my heart wants to stop beating when I listend to this song especially 4.00 - 5.20...it so deep that just want to cry...
@JJRandom1 You're wise :) Don't care about what they say, fools. This is LIFE, this is ART, this is what makes music so magic and real.
I was like you when I was your age except that I would listen to Michael Nyman instead, and Yann Tiersen. Now that I discovered Ludovico Eunaudi, I feel complete, I can die in peace cause this is the essence of beauty to me and the meaning of life seems to come out of the piano. <3
@JJRandom1 i was exactly the same at your age - when i was 15 was when Einaudi first came on the scene - loved him ever since. Dont let your friends influence your musicality - let it shine!!
At thirteen, I know what I want to do in life. I feel restless and troubled whenever I don't write something. I don't listen to half of the artists adolescents my own age listen too. I congratulate pop stars and rappers that I find minor for making it where they are, but think: If this were today's music, how would it influence today's society? Culture? Maturity?
@IcedBlueTea why worry about society? because of the music where the most people listen to?
you find pop stars and rappers minor, other people maybe do not see it that way...
all opinions, wich we have to respect... it has nothing to do with (the state of) society and maturity, but each genre has a different target group. pop music has changed continuesly for the past 50 years, and will do that for centuries, we evolve, but i do not believe that this music will disappear.
is it maybe because this kind of music has no background?
and with background i dont mean only history, but as in hiphop, wich is asociated with crime, drugs, 'hoes' etcetera, and pop music with trying to be popular too hard.
this music is just pure music for itself, and only meant to entertain people and nothing else
@IcedBlueTea Beautiful song, buts lets not go overboard. As time progresses the social and political climate changes, as does technology, wich influences art i.e. music, but lets not go trying to link piano music to the current suicide rates.
@IcedBlueTea Calm down son music is music everyone has their own preferences no need to go deep into thought as to why the world doesn't prefer and/or listen to the same genre of music as you do.
@DaClassicalMusician I am calm, very calm, although I must say I would be more of a daughter than a son. :) I understand your point, and I am not going into deep thought about why the world doesn't prefer this music, I'm going into deep thought~ :)
@IcedBlueTea - I for one can tell you that you are not the only one. although I wouldn't go as far as saying that the music makes people commit suicide, I will have to agree that the mainstream would do much better if stuff like this is integrated into radio and all that. It all just depends on your point of view.
@goodcommentguy Of course it does, everything depends on your point of view! :) I am not saying that mainstream music makes people commit suicide, I am saying that someone who was ready to do that, who had nothing in life to look forward to, could hear this music and find happiness. And Happiness and love are two incredibly powerful things, my friend. :)
its not the music that brings the culture, but the culture brings the music. Thats why the reason why todays music is almost without emotion. People dont have many people to share theyre emotions so they hide them. This music brings up emotions and most of us dont like that anymore.
I really pity the youth of today. emotion has become an enemy to them. this music prooves it is not. It is the only allie for some of us.
@IcedBlueTea very nice. but i feel its this music, the youth don't want to listen to. they want to hide their emotions and listen to some popstars meaningless music, share emotionless songs with other people - because they are scared to show their own emotions. music like this - you have to feel; the rhythm, the pace, the maturity. youth are afraid of showing their emotions because of the turbulent culture we live in. they don't want to be vitimised, they want to feel secure.
@TheFlowBlue i dont know if i count as a kid anymore (but i sure feel like it!) im 18, and i know plenty of people (my age) who would rather listen to this musical genius than the constant flood of auto-tuned drivvle that gets released to the ignorant musical world every week.
humousdip.... never enough time to listen to all his beauty. this man is blessed in the modern age... and will go down in history when the time is right. The most prevalent artist on my ipod. Love him!
Everyone of his songs sound far better played at about half the speed he plays them. I guess he's trying to make classical pop though, so he wouldn't want anyone getting bored.
@JJRandom1 Yes it is. I worked in HMV & Virgin for over 12 years and i seen the decline in music when dance and R&B became more prominent. Your friends are like most people, especially teenagers who just listen to music with their ears.
You have an ability your friends don't and that is to not listen to music with your ears, but to listen to it with your soul. To close your eyes and let the music take you on a journey is the gift that artists like Ludovico or SIgor Ros give to us, Enjoy.
@ballinwatermelon Honestly, you get made fun of whenever you do anything different from the staus quo. (when you do whatever everyone else does, you get made fun of also) You stay on your own road and keep your head held high. Enjoy the ride, when you stick to the things you love, the rewards will be well worth it! There are only a few things more personal than Music!
@ballinwatermelon Fortunately my best friend agrees. He used to call me nuts for listening his music, but since I have shown him Divenire, he fell in love with it.
@ballinwatermelon They are unaware of the affects of music. I listened to heavier music when I was younger, until I did research about vibration. All is vibration. Specific harmonious sound vibrations can create shapes and patterns. This is known as cymatics. This affects your cells too. So if you listen to dissonant music, it affects your cells in a negative way. Long story short, beautiful music is good for you, and will enhance the atmosphere and your overall well being.
@ballinwatermelon Dude, I'm 16 and Ludovico is one of the greatest contemporary composers I've heard in a long time. Thank you for being able to appreciate music for what it truly is. You're not the crazy one, your friends are the crazy ones.

There are two factors changing music.

@JJRandom1 the same here. only I'm 17 and my friends listen to metal most of the time.
ierepier88 1 year ago
@ierepier88 listening to metal does not mean you can not appreciate this music ... I listen to Black Metal but I also love Einaudi .. =)

Culture? Maturity?
Would as many people commit suicide every day?
IcedBlueTea 1 year ago 83
@IcedBlueTea why worry about society? because of the music where the most people listen to?
you find pop stars and rappers minor, other people maybe do not see it that way...
all opinions, wich we have to respect... it has nothing to do with (the state of) society and maturity, but each genre has a different target group. pop music has changed continuesly for the past 50 years, and will do that for centuries, we evolve, but i do not believe that this music will disappear.
Authorified 1 year ago
@Authorified A wise argument indeed, but I think you miss my main point.
IcedBlueTea 1 year ago
@IcedBlueTea i did, i read your message again..
i think society would be really different indeed.
is it maybe because this kind of music has no background?
and with background i dont mean only history, but as in hiphop, wich is asociated with crime, drugs, 'hoes' etcetera, and pop music with trying to be popular too hard.
this music is just pure music for itself, and only meant to entertain people and nothing else
music just for wondering and wandering :)
Authorified 1 year ago
@Authorified the target group wouldnt be a factor then he would have made this music....

The suicide point is unwarranted.
Though I do agree that a calmer and more cultured society would be an improvement.
A9htt8H2 1 year ago
@IcedBlueTea Beautiful song, buts lets not go overboard. As time progresses the social and political climate changes, as does technology, wich influences art i.e. music, but lets not go trying to link piano music to the current suicide rates.

@IcedBlueTea Calm down son music is music everyone has their own preferences no need to go deep into thought as to why the world doesn't prefer and/or listen to the same genre of music as you do.
DaClassicalMusician 11 months ago
@DaClassicalMusician I am calm, very calm, although I must say I would be more of a daughter than a son. :) I understand your point, and I am not going into deep thought about why the world doesn't prefer this music, I'm going into deep thought~ :)
IcedBlueTea 11 months ago
@IcedBlueTea - I for one can tell you that you are not the only one. although I wouldn't go as far as saying that the music makes people commit suicide, I will have to agree that the mainstream would do much better if stuff like this is integrated into radio and all that. It all just depends on your point of view.
goodcommentguy 11 months ago
@goodcommentguy Of course it does, everything depends on your point of view! :) I am not saying that mainstream music makes people commit suicide, I am saying that someone who was ready to do that, who had nothing in life to look forward to, could hear this music and find happiness. And Happiness and love are two incredibly powerful things, my friend. :)
IcedBlueTea 11 months ago
@IcedBlueTea
Thats the entire problem.
its not the music that brings the culture, but the culture brings the music.

IcedBlueTea 10 months ago
@IcedBlueTea don't worry you're not the only thirteen year old, i know what you mean :P
zoligirlforever 7 months ago

@HardcorePwnography i was aiming more towards the 9-16 year olds. but people appreciate music in different ways, this it seems, is the right way.
TheFlowBlue 6 months ago
@TheFlowBlue then i agree with you! but, give them a few years, im sure they will out grow what they listen to now, and realise how silly they were!

dragonoidtsw 1 year ago
