we saw this in class and i looked at my friend and was like "omg i'm crying!" but i would like to say two things about this. one, seeing her as a kid i never expected Ellie to be so beautiful! especially at 1:33! and two, i don't get why they didn't just adopt.

Later one, Russel comes along, lacking the guidance of a true father and fills the shoes of a child in the eyes of Mr. Fredrickson when Mr. Fredrickson attends Russel's boy scout graduation in the end. I dont know why the couple didn't just adopt, but I know why Pixar Motion Pictures didn't incorporate that idea, and it is because of the lesson I just explained. Great movie all together

The part the makes me sad most is watching them hold hands throughout their entire life. It makes me sad thinking about my own parents who never had this kind of relationship, which ended in divorce. It makes me very angry and sad that my parents never had something as beautiful as this... and it makes me cry even more for Carl having to lose something as beautiful as this.... oh dammit-- I'm crying again >:'(

DAMNIT, I LEEAAAAKED! T___T Proof, I can't watch this without wanting to sob. The first time I watched this was in theaters, and I made the mistake of watching with friends as well as family. They saw first-hand how emotionally invested I can get into a movie, and of all movies it had to be Up! which gets emotional right at the start. T____T I cried like a little bitch... and I got ragged so hardcore for it, too...

You know, I think what makes this whole scene so wonderful is the fact that it has no words. To be able to tell a story that evokes so much emotion solely on the music is quite the magical thing, and I really commend Pixar for that.

Now imagine that little kid having to see a two people living a long happy life together until old age, then being confronted with death. imagine how the kid must have felt watching this, knowing that his/her time had soon come to pass.

I saw Up recently for the first time and I have to say it's one of the craziest plots for an animated film I've ever witnessed. But it's also one of the most genuinely touching films I've seen in a while. That seems to be a very hard thing for filmmakers to accomplish these days...I'm not sure I was in love with having dogs flying fighter planes but that's only a small criticism for what is easily one of Pixar's best films.

This movie... Before I had the chance to see it for the first time, one of my friends died in a car crash. That friend was very much in love with another friend of mine. They were the only couple I liked being around, because they weren't just mushy. When I looked at them, I saw the love there and admired it rather than feeling intimidated by it. They looked like they would have been together forever. Seeing this movie, seeing Carl act exactly like my friend Carlee after Trevor died...hit home.

this is probably by the best Pixar film they have ever made,for someone like me who listens to hardcore music,this movie still makes a tear come out,i never saw it in the theaters cause the trailer didnt seem all that interesting to me untill a friend of mine took his kids and told me about the story,i just recentley watched it and love it! even though the humor was kinda corny,but it was about how loyal Carl was to his wife and Russell's Family Life back home. i agree! big thumbs up!
