I remember needing to buy a tailgate for my truck. Junkyards were wanting $250-$300 for them back then. It kind of pains me to see this tailgate cut up LOL but it sure shows me what a good tool that is. I eventually found a tailgate for $125. New, from the original manufacturer. Always check, never assume, that a junkyard is ALWAYS cheaper than new even if owned by friends or family.
