  • So Right girl ! but mite i say it in a diferent way? if that dosent bother you...

so.. okay.."ring around the rosie" what u said was right , but it simbolises the "BLACK PLAQUE" , "pokets full of posey" wich was also right , and was also used to cover up dead bodies oh and "POSEY" means Dead roses , "ashes to ashes" Was right , And " We all fall down" Of corse means... We all Drop Dead!

  • actually shes right go study it

  • the ending was scary...

  • der i alredy know this shit!!!!!!!! i hate ur video :(

  • in playgroup they change the words too atissue a tissue we all fall down

  • i knew this for 7 years now it is creepy as fuck! XD

  • wow, this is the first time i clicked on a random video that appealed to me. (Not just cause your sexy).

    Subscribed.

  • hahaha whaaat are you doing

  • Isn't a song, it's a nursery rhyme.

  • i read that it was a war song

    ring around the rosy

i don't remember what that meant

    pocket full of posies

    posies are bombs

    ashes ashes

    bomb fire

    we all fall down

    dying

  • no posies is a desise ashes=sneezing ring around the posies is like a skin desise u get on ur arm

  • @AmericanAussie1 posies arent a disease...theyre a plant...

  • ring around a rosy is passing a disease

  • like, and whatever, like and stuff? I'm sorry I'm a dick, but so fucking tired of hearing these words used in this way over the last 5 years, since it seems to have gained too much momentum from the 80s.

  • everyone knows this, lol.

  • "achoo achoo" the sneezing symtom, causing them to literally coughing out their lungs

  • However smart this interpretation may seem, it is a stretch. It is witty, though. But the story behind the rhyme seems to be jolly rather than a ghastly one. "Ashes" in the original song was "ash-too" (as in sneezing). So, it is easy to imagine children reeling around flowers, having rosies in their pockets, sneezing from the pollen and consequently squatting.

  • Actually, this song is not related to the bubonic plague in any way. Do a bit of research.

  • If you were to do a little research yourself, You'll find that she was close to the fact. just diden't have it all right. But yes it is based on the plage that happend years before the some became famous. If you reply, please use a link or state what it's about so I know what you are talking aboout. thanks

  • who educated you? They lied.

  • Comment removed

  • the pocket full of posie thing u said is partially true but the real meaning of it was that the pocket full of posies were actually pockets of puss that formed in the skin because of the ringworm type marks

  • that is strange, in scotland they buried them in one big grave that is now known as mourning side

  • what program ya use to place the ending? Audacity or wavepad?

    sounded awsome yet creepy haha

  • actually this is completely false. we're studying it right now. so i'd get your facts straight.

  • i always thought when they say when they say ashes to ashes that means that they burned down the house with the infected people still inside along with there familys (sorry if my spelling sucks)

  • i know the real meaning my teacher told me in like 5th grade or so somewhere along that time

  • Heh heh heh.

  • the last 20 seconds were really creepy...

  • that's sounds fuck up at ending. uhhh

  • I used to sing this song when I was little

and when i was like... 5 my brother was like.

"This song is about death. Go cry in the corner."

  • i knew that stuff before

  • I knew the real meaning of it before I watched this. ;D

  • my bad for being the know it all but your kinda wrong 1st rind around the rosy is the doctors told them to have rosy er watever all around them cuz that was supposedly a cure 2nd the poseys were for another so called cure then ashes, ashes actually means the coughing or it another word for it and after the coughing (the final stages were coughing) and then they die

ps i like the song at the end

  • I knew about it before, but still it's like the coolest/weirdest thing!

My history teacher told me about it a while ago :D

  • great !! now you discover why horror movies exist XD ........

    because of that mood.

I love good horror creepy movies <_<

  • AHHH

    the end seriously creeped me.

  • I got a little scared at the end cause I like watch goust hunters. And it's very dark in my room.............

  • hmmm i think your... pauses, hey... *fiddles with hair*... is creepy. Way.

  • yeah i did know that. the ring things were called buboes...hence the BUBOnic plague. but yeah it's creepy.

  • stop. i was like crying at the end haha. creeeepy. :(

  • Hi to Amanda Again====tbc==....

  • my tech told us this two month ago

  • wow... duh...

  • lol my teacher told us that like a few days ago. :D i already knew it though.

  • i guess im really smart lol.

  • the style like this > /watch?v=X82i5z7TDfQ how they done this song at the start is creepy >_>

  • NO Amanda...

ring around the rosey is actually from the "bubos" which where BLACK boils that were on the skin (rosey because they popped and oozed blood and pus)

you almost had the pocket full of posies right but it actually came from the theory that you could catch the plauge by smelling air from someone infected, so people would make sure to have something that smelled nice in their pocket to sniff when they walked past a quarentined home.

But i agree, its a creepy song

  • i already knew that and the pocket full of posy is not so they smelt good it was because there was so many decaying bodies around that it made it smell better

  • yeah i learned that in 5th grade

  • you learned that in 8th grade history didnt you?. were you trying to make this scary? oh, you were.....it didnt work.

  • :O woaahh

  • i love the end!

idk why but it got me like really scared! xD

  • how did you not know this?;p i learned this when i was like 10

  • um i do know this lol. that why i made the video...

  • dang! This was pretty dark... (you look cute, love your hair)

  • Wow, That means Im smart. XD

  • i heard that befor in class creepy!!!

  • **omg, i knew that song was like about death.... but i strangely love this video. it's like a mini-horror movie --without the scary picture of the exorsist at the end, of course. **

  • wow.. I didn`t find out about the real meaning of "Ring around the Rosy" till today...lol...but oh well

  • you are wrong about the song!

  • you are wrong amanda this song has nothing to do with the bubonic plague its just a myth!!

  • you aer wrong amanda this song has nothing to do with the bubonic plague its just a myth!!

  • your wrong amanda this wrong has nothing to do with the bubonic plague this is just a myth!

  • amanda you are wrong! ring around the rosie is just a song! the nursery rhyme has no specific meaning! everybody think this song is related to the black plauge disease but the turth is the song is about the black plauge is a myth thats why so many believe it!

  • not true my science teacher AND my social studies teacher told us about this.

  • @amandagirlygirl13 actually the poem was written after the black plague, also the symptoms are not correct

  • it would be cool if you had build in a short loud sound and a shocking picture at the end -- THAT would have been creepy^^

  • I know all that lol. its one of the funist things I tell ppl to make them think.

more fun facts: the saying its raining cats and dogs comes from the same time period, cats and some smaller dogs would sleep in the thached roofs and when it rained tha would fall out.

also the saying "mind your P's and Q's" refers to when your in the pub watch out you dont order a quort insted of a pinet.

if you want more odd facts feel free to ask :)

  • woooh thats crazy, i didnt noe that. hmmm creepy.

  • WOW! the end is creeeeepy

  • holy crap the end freaked me out!

  • ew! the ending was creepy! I did know it was about the bubonic plague, though.

  • omg, the end was so so scary. We sand the song and it went 'ring a round the rosies a pocket full of posies a-tichoo a-tichoo we all fall down. The meaning is the same apart from the a-tichoo bit which means the symptoms (apart from the ring of roses) was sneezing and flu like symptoms.

I've never heard the ashes to ashes version before, and I live in a country where we had the black death. Maybe it got toned down for the kiddies?! i dunno...

  • Wow..you should do more stuff like that!

It made me think of a scene in the movie 'Clueless' when Josh and Cher are sitting at the top of the stairs and Cher says 'Is that all you think I am, some ditz who only knows about shopping?" Then Josh says "No you're not".

    Niether are you. Nice vid.

  • thats really scary

  • A lot of people knew that.

I've known that for as long as I can remember...

    But neat video anyway :P

  • well...i just learned that in science haha. cuz they were talking about the swine flu.

  • haha i actually did know that.

    ugh the swine flu :x

my school is closedd, bc theres 4cases

  • whoa, who knew... the last part was creepy!

  • Yes, I did know that. I'm scared too death about this stupid swine flu.

  • but the swine flu is only a version of the flu,

you dont need to worry about it cuz if you have a good doctor that u can go to, ur fine.

the only people that r gonna die from it are the ones that are poor, and cant afford medicine.

you dont have to worry yourself to death

  • the stupid swine flu hasn't killed anyone with a decent immune system. people in mexico have died, no one in the US has. . .everyone's gotten better. the reason you're scared is because the media makes money of chaos

  • yes it has.

a 26 month old died from it.

    i think it's 26 months.

  • Actually, someone from Texas died.

The only death confirmed outside of Mexico.

  • yeah, it was a baby.

  • And, that's not the only creepy "kid song" out there either. I mean, something as simple as "rock a bye baby" is terrible. Sing that to yourself, Amanda. By the way, the new hairstyle is awesome. You were already smokin' hot. Now, you're over the top. WOW!

  • dont be, even if it does spread over the world they arent worried about it killing everyone, theyr just worried loadsa people will get it and a lot of people will be off work which means the econmy will go stagnant for a while cos people cant go to work to make the economy go round. so its not actually ur health they are worried about, unless ur really old or a wee baby ur fine even if u do get it

  • Mmmk then lol.

  • omg amanda i love this video!

i faved!!i'm soo happy ur getting in the habit of making vids again!! :DDDD

    be-cause it's summer!!

i get out this month for school! :D

  • i knew that and i'm as dumb as fuckk.

    haha

  • WOW! I never knew tht!

  • uhhh a lotttt of people know the meaning of ring around the rosy we dont need a re-cap...

  • yeah just a little lol
