i had hell alotta problems with special forces.but i can tell you how to repair lightning.fx and rain.fx and the unmodded content problem.uninstall bf 2 and special forces(DONT DELETE THE PROFILES UNLESS YOU WANT TO.)then install all patches from 1.1 to 1.5 because special forces gives 1.1.so install bf 2,then special forces,and then patch 1.2,1.3 and 1.41 and 1.5 then all works.for ´me it does.check my gameplay when ill make it and sub and rate helps me out alot.

I really like this expansion pack, things like the night vision goggles and grappling hook make it a ton more fun. BF2 is a considerable improvement on BF1942--you have way more weapons to choose from, you have to unlock things, its just way more fun. You're a good player man :)

To begin with there are different maps and armies in special forces: Russian Spestnaz, British SAS, Insurgents, US navy seals, Rebels and MEC special forces. Plus the weapons available are completely different.

yes you can use zip lines and what not but there is also tear gas and night vision (for the night maps). it just takes the game to a whole new level.
