@LordJermbo Dude! Me too! I love the band regardless of who is singing! A Different Kind of Truth is sick, too! But, Ed's playing was so new and unique on this album, as was Al's drumming, bands have to go through experimentation. That's what everyone loved about the original Roth and Sammy era albums. Why not give this one a chance?
@littletone That was my only problem with the album. Ed always sounds great, but it was so dry. Balance was and amazing tone for him. He is an artist, though so I can't get upset with him trying something new. That's why we love him hahahaha
@20carrocks I like Ted Danson better on Cheers... That said, Boston's one of the world's greatest cities, and frankly, between this and managing that bar, Ted Danson has really left his mark on it.
Gary's a good singer, just not in Van Halen...

How raw is Alex? Unbelievable.

If you pay attention you can hear a mix of Hagar and Roth Van Halen on that album. Great work, it's just more a serious feel than others.

Eddie's playing on this tour was excellent, tho his tone wasn't even close to the balance tour...just my 2 cents..

Eddie gets slower during his guitar break, where as Gary does an impeccable job
