  • I think that probably what is the most moving though is that this film that I saw on kookíca is able to take hold of you and when you're let go in the end; the only thing you can think of is that you are just glad to seeing it.

  • I am 65. This is in the top five best ever ever movies I have seen. I totally agree it is a masterpeice. I just cant believe the people who dont like it. It is available at kòòkica. This is not a beautiful film it is thrilling awesome exotic witty addictive mindfood. I will be going again. I am telling you it is a MUSTSEE.

  • Ugly Duckling not everyone in Australia descended from convicts. What an asinine uninformed comment. I for one am descended from a Portuguese nurse who came out on the first fleet. And many other immigrate to Australia from other countries and have been here for generations. Get your facts right before you embarrass yourself any further!!

  • it was a good movie!!! Definitely must watch, lots of adventure,action,drama,morals and tragedy. It was like Indiana Jones meets the wild west movie except a little bit more realistic to the touch.

  • and whn you get to Australia you find all their owmn descended from British upper classes who spoke like the Queen but who married the drover. Not one descendent from convict prostitutes, murderers or thieves in sight. Self loathing BS. you only need to stand in a Burger King line for 5 minutes the understand the crude realities of Australian life.   • I was surprised now too. I absolutely LOVE the movie and this trailer simply doesn't represent it the way it should. Nullah is a huuuuge part of the story. He makes this movie a piece of magic!

  • Actually, I liked the movie, but shocked to see this supposed to be 'International' trailer!

    Not even once you see the blow-up of most memorable face of the movie, the cute boy 'Nullah' in this trailer. As if he was nothing! All along you see only Kidman & Jackman's hugging around! This itself shows what whites are still up to... Have they promoted the movie with Nullah's perspective and visuals it would have been a mega hit and world would have really loved it!

  • The initial release date was pushed back from Nov 14 to Nov 26 at the last minute - that would have affected its box office a bit, the love story is aimed at an older audience - meaning it could not compete with "Twilight".... and the critics did not rave about it either - (Baz Lurhrmann himself defended the film saying that the critics simply "didn't get it"), these may have been some of the reasons why it only ended up with a mere $49 million at the US box office.

  • I agree! This trailer is so well-made, it's by far my favourite Australia trailer - it certainly gives me goosebumps.

    I am so annoyed that this film didn't receive the recognition it deserved - sure there were faults.... but that was due to gaps in the storyline as Fox executives decided the film had to be cut down to 2hrs 45mins and the ending to be completely re-written.

    I simply cannot wait until the Director's Cut is released!

  • Baz Luhrmann said in an interview a few months back that he hoped to make a "super-sized" version of the film to be released in December...... I'm assuming that would only be if it did really well in dvd sales.
