I wonder why one person below says crocs are better for her to wear and one says do not wear crocs, the only thing I can wear is crocs with bad pain, im glad that crocs were invented
I found the perfect relief and it was reasonably priced! I had constant pain from P.F. in my right heel. I found Happy Feet insoles at a tradeshow and have been pain free after wearing them for only 3 days. I no longer have that pain when I walk! I paid $40 for them which is wayyyy less than the orthotic my podiatrist wanted to prescribe me and they have a 1 year warranty, too! The promo code/coupon listed on the package says 602. Hope this helps you too!!
Not sure if I agree with dianactorline re: the heels off the step stretch. I found that to be really dangerous. Gentle actions are best for P.F. relief.
The video above shows good massage techniques; massage has definitely helped my feet.
The best overall P.F. resource I located was the book "Injury Afoot: 30 Things You Can Do to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis" on Amazon.
I am a nurse working 12hr shifts & by the end of my shift I would rather be dead than experience the heel pain I was having. I had several months of agonizing pain, I tried NSAIDS, stretching, icing, weekly therapy &cortisone injections. Then some1 told me to wear my orthotic all the time no barefeet. That really helped, then I got another injection and changed to Naproxen. No more foot pain. I hope this is helpful
I received a shot on both heels yesterday but, can't remember the name of the injection. It was painful getting the injections I cannot remember. I hope it works thanks for your comment.
I'm a nurse too. Had 3 shots in one foot. 1 shot in the other. Not much relief and the day of the shot gave fire pain. I am finally getting some relief following this regimen: Limit work to 12 hours per week. Foot splinting at night. NB tenis shoes with orthotics 90% of the time. Stretching, ice, NSAIDS. FMLA for work. Getting better. DO NOT WEAR CROCS.

I just want to say that I am in total agreement with both of the previous two commenters who were in agreement with the comment about the kitty cat reference. You are 100% correct. You hit the nail right on the head.
I've been a Muscular Therapist for over 15 years, and I've had PF before. The best thing that I have done for myself and my patients was to wear sole inserts under each heel for 6weeks without interruption. No barefeet ever, the lifts need to be there the whole time, that is the hard part. Hope this helps those in need.
Wonderful. Thank you very much. Have had Plantar Fasciitis for a year now and am really sick of the pain. Trying some of these techniques. Thanks again
I still cannot even put any pressure on my heal in my left foot. It's been a year now and I still cannot walk. I need help and would even consider amputation as I am in pain all the time and it will not go away.
I am a physical therapist and have always had my patients with PF stand on a step and have there heels hanging down to stretch the calf mm as well as use a tennis ball or hand massage to stretch the arch of the foot.

Some doctors recommend Crocs because they have so much shock absorption. I wear my sandals now in the house and it really helps.--dt
