  • That's weird because Bitterns usually shy away from human dwellings, and they have pretty good vision so they usually know when they're being watched *quickly pretends to be a reed*

    Actually we saw a Bittern 2 years in a row in our backyard and last year I could hear it in the field next to ours but did not see. Now whether it was the same Bittern that remains to be known but I would guess probably so. I am always on the look out for one now!

  • @xxEElizxx Yeah in the creek in my backyard I heard something like a heavy object falling into the water for like 3 minutes straight. I looked around for a bittern, but it stopped.
