Good point. Except for the SDT750 all cameras gave a view in the viewfinder close to normal vision. The Panasonic with its smaller interaxial spread, was wide angle, meaning that I could move closer to the object enhancing the depth, mitigating to some extent, its very small10mm base.
Comparisons are great. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to get "optimum" depth shots with a Bloggie, and have done some simple calculations, but am busy re-learning Adobe Premiere at the moment. I've got the calculations documented somewhere... I can find them, if anyone is interested. Good 3D is basically a simple calculation of near and far points... at least, that's where you start. Other things can go wrong, but it helps if you start on the right track. :) Talk at you later............
I'm sorry that the videos were not more interesting but I initially took a few quick shots with the FX10 for me to view, and have since returned it as it had a fault. I took the comparison videos to match the FX10 clip as near as possible. I think that there are enough near and distant shots, to give an idea of the camcorders'
abilities with depth and video quality so I'm glad if you enjoyed seeing the comparisons. The Sony is great and is well aligned into the screen
What are the focal lengths of the three?
