im a bobcats fan. i hate any team that beats them even though they are having a shitty season. but when they play the spurs, i dont get angry. timmy doesnt show boat, he doesnt scream like a madman when making a dunk, he keeps it low profile. i respect this man.
@TexasReppin210 They are ones for drama and so on! They don't like a guy who is quiet who wins titles! They want rapists and so on to win! They want a story.
Even with all the awards n rings he had won, he was still underrated by most medias n fans. For me he is by far the best player in 00's. Not shag not Nash not dirk not garnet n obviously not Kobe. I'm a lakers fan. N coach pop is a better coach than Phil Jackson.
@slipknoterman Quit trolling the boards. I see you went out of your way to try and argue that Karl Malone is better than Tim Duncan on every comment. Get a life, Timmy is GOAT with 4 rings. Karl Malone is 2nd best with 0 rings. Almost all NBA experts agree with me. End of discussion.
@bballer191 i dont give a shit what you think. oh and timmy is goat? hahahha get that shit outa here, malone is a legend , timmy is a good player that just so happened to play weak teams for championships and won 4 of them. SO WHAT?
@slipknoterman lol you're delusional kid. Tim Duncan is the greatest PF of all time, agreed upon by NBA experts and the public. Your opinion will never change that. Sucks for you! Quit trolling. I'm done with this conversation.
@slipknoterman bballer u have no knowledge of what greatness on the bball court is u novice nba fan! what happened in 99 then? jordan left how come if malone so great why couldnt he get a easy ring like the spurs? go kill yourself!!!
@bbezel62 he was thiry fucking six u fucking dumbass, kill urself for comparing duncan to malone seriously, only thing timmy got more than karl is rings and those he got against teams like the rookie cavs, smh
Well, not yet. The Spurs have another playoff run left in them, and then Tim retires in a blaze of glory. Or not, but I prefer the former as a more fitting 'now it ends'.
Tim, the player, the winner, the twin tower, the spur, the champion, the teammate, the leader, the love for the game, the psychologist, the human being, the one of a kind…
So if the NBA is locked out is this how it ends??????? If so great video and will bring a tear to our eyes! Duncan was fading this year fast down the end, a lockout would just kill it.
I'm sorry dirk and Kobe are my favorite players but Tim Duncan is the greatest PF in history end of story he is What PF should be ad his post skills are just amazing and I hate I mean hate Tim Duncan and the spurs but I'm also not retarded
@getdownbrown83 Yes this brings tears to my eye, the best to ever do it at PF! I see no season this year, so one less year will we see the guy :( He did enough though, did it all in his prime and got 4 titles so I will let that sit and just remember him as he was which is the best ever at PF.
Tim Duncan is my favourite player. I'm italian but i always watch Spurs when i can. Tim Duncan is a legend for me and a great inspiration. No one is as him. I love Duncan.
Great tribute. I love how it starts with the wreckage from hurricane Hugo; which destroyed Duncan's community swimming pool he used to practice swimming, thus starting his basketball career.
When Tim retires, I'll cry so much. Such a humble player. No demanding of trade, no scandal, no divergence between his teammates, no bragging of being one of the best-- heck he even cut his salary of 11 million dollars for the future of the Spurs. He gets the job done. He's so boring because he's so f*cking consistent and he doesn't showboat. The "most controversy" he was involved in was when Joe "Bald-headed" Crawford ejected him for laughing while he was on the bench. TD21 = GOATPF!
@illflow As a Bulls fan, Tim Duncan is on a whole other level than Dirk is. Don't get me wrong, Dirk is one of my favorite players and I was rooting for the Mavs in the finals, but Dirk, or any other PF for that matter, didn't absolutely dominate both ends of the floor like Timmy did. He was never flashy, never eye-popping, never emotional; just impossibly consistent, impossibly humble, and impossibly great.
his footwork is so wonderful to watch, his character on and off the court is by all means something worth praising.. how it ends.. Duncan caring another NBA championship trophy
@mufcrulz Underrated? Most people agree that he's the greatest ever at his position. He won back-to-back MVP's, named to the all-star team 13 or 14 times, All-NBA team and All-NBA Defensive team every year he's been in the league, and is already being referred to as a Hall-of-Famer. Definitely not underrated.
@mufcrulz Right now, Kobe, no question. All-time though is tough. I think you could make a case for Kobe being underrated since he SHOULD have had at least 3 MVP's by now. Timmy is better all-around with his shot-blocking and rebounding, offensively I give Kobe the edge but Timmy in his prime was as unstoppable as any bigs that came before him. It's tough to try to compare two guys that play completely different positions though. Garnett vs Duncan would be a better one.
@gobroncos7889 "All-time though is tough" - it really isn't that tough and this is why he is underrated. Duncan in his prime was the superior player, teammate, leader, closer and playoffs performer yet most people have kobe ahead of duncan on all time lists. "Kobe being underrated since he SHOULD have had at least 3 MVP's by now" - wrong! kobe should never have won it 07/08, chris paul got robbed. I do think he should have won it in 05/06 but there were no other years he deserved it.....
Tim Duncan is my favorite basketball player and sports icon of all time. This video is amazing and awesome!!! You did a great job!!! I like how you included every stage of his career, even starting with the hurricane in St. Croix because thats why he started playing basketball. Then it goes to the NBA draft, amazing highlights, and even footage from each championship....This video is epic. I thank you for making this spectacular video!!!!
Duncan is a true champion. he not got carried to a championship, he never lucked his way to a championship, and the refs never gave him a championship like Kobe Bryany. He led his team there, beat the best of the best, and earned his championships. People don't realize how great he and the Spurs were. Spurs should've won 5 straight championships from 03-07, but bad luck got in the way. Duncan is the best PF of all time and the best player since MJ.
Man, I was almost sobbing when I saw this vid. It's just amazing. Thanks man, helping to remember great days who will never come again. Number 21 shall be retired with Tim, as a way to show how much we cared and appreciated his attitude and will to win. I don't know what will I do when he retires... I just can't think about it. But this vid just won a place in my heart forever, because it just shows his career and LIFE so beautifully. I just don't want it to end...
I really appreciate the inclusion of what probably is Tim Duncan's greatest shot of all-time. Fading left over Shaq and with the game on the line. Sadly, it gets overlooked by Fisher's BS shot.
Whoever did this video great job!!! This is easily the best fan tribute video I have ever seen for any player in any sport, really touching. I have followed tim his whole career and i can remember where I was when all of these clips happened. Amazing!
@xmuscularghandix No it's not, but Barkley played the 4, is in the hall of fame, and is one of the best rebounders ever. If anyone can say ANYTHING about the PF position, it's him, along with a few other players.
Anyway for the last 15 years i took Duncan for granted. He was an enigma, an autistic giant with ball handling and shooting skills, who did his thing quietly. Nobody wanted his jersey, his shoe, hes just a champion, who will live in the back seat quietly like Kareem Abdul.
ALOT took him for granted, I as a Spurs fan just thought he would be there forever! I know it seemed like it, but it went by so fast :( It seems like yesterday he was winning his first title damnit! I know we took him for granted too, thinking he would always be just 20 and 10 and always there, but now it shows he is fading.
duncan has made an impact on so many families here in san antonio. without him the spurs get sold and moved. jobs lost and no att center. local street venders selling playoff gear. he is much more than just a great basketball player. hes a great human.
What an Epic Tribute. Fantastic. Really does justice to his accomplishments. Made me feel like he is the greatest of all time. He ruled the game in a way unlike any other. Humility. Humble. Simplicity.
The Spurs of the championship days were truely a Big Four. Bowen. Ginobili. Duncan. Parker. Our climax ended when one of the pieces fell.
