  • I would make it so that the hurt animation doesn't play, and Mario just changes his pose. You wouldn't need the animation if you were to use an SM64 health meter anyway.

  • @protomenzero Well, the routine is that you take damage, then bounce, so logically, if you're invincible you should just bounce. Although frankly I've never tested it.

  • neat

  • IMPORTANT QUESTION! Can you bounce more than once like in SM64? Like if your heats r set to 4? Or if u jump in as firemore, liy in air, land back into lava and become super mario, fly into air and back into lava again and become normal mario, fly in air again and finally land in lava and die.

  • If you're still Big Mario when you hit the second time, you should.

  • But u can't be big mario then?

Only when u put mushrooms above the lava....

  • reserve box

    your idea

    SMB3 Powerdown patch

  • Kickass!

  • Does it kill sprites when they fall into it?

The simple way to do it is to set any sprite that touches it to the dieing in lava sprite state. Or just make it act like lava when a sprite touches it.

  • Well, when this video was made that was the last bit I had to code. but that's been taken care of now and it's ready for insertion. You can find it uploaded at SMWC.

  • Looks like a vertical boost block that acts like a muncher tile.

    Amirite?

  • I suppose you could call it that, but I just basically coded it from scratch so I wouldn't compare it to anything :P

  • cool!

  • niiiiiice

  • It would be cool if you could spawn some white smoke sprites underneath mario as he flies upwards.
