  • Super Rare song that played a lot then, they were very popular, great up beat music. Great one.

  • Jay looks like hes having a great time! what energe!!!!!!!!

  • WOW!!! If they were a hit now singing this song i would have gone to see them anywhere. I am amazed who good they were. Donny is so cute, my mom liked him when she was my age.

  • I love the way Merrill just fits into the whole dance routine with out missing a beat - excellent stuff.

  • They almost didnt do this song, there father thought it was to sexual for his sons to sing. He wanted some of the words changed the.record exc. wouldnt change them. Glad the did it!!!

  • oh yes! that's what i want! some double lovin from donny! he's so sexy! i love all of the osmonds songs and can sing along with them! iloveyoudonnyosmond!

  • WOW!! I could watch this all day long-I have been an Osmond fan for nearly 38 years and I still get excited watching this! Thanks!

  • me and my mate, cherrywombat, think this sogn is a little dirty secretely.'you gonna GET A DOUBLE PRESSURE, EVERYTHIGN I DOO'. IT SOUNdS SO WRONG. at first we thought it was us beign silly btu then merril sang 'makes u feel so good inside' and thought it sounded very wrong. most fo u may not agree but we are only 13 riet now. sozzie btu thats wat we think.

love it anway! u can lve me anytime 12/13 year old donny!!

  • they are actually saying double pleasure not double pressure......still it's a good song I just discovered it......"you're gonna get a double pleasure......" Gotta love them though. Music today isn't like the music I grew up with my dad's old 45's and Donny was my first music crush.

  • This video brings back great memories. Thanks for posting.

  • Dont care about "string theories" I LOVE MY OSMONDS........

    Love this track......love the jumpsuits....

and they are soo gay they have all gone on to have 4/5/6/8 children each!!!!!

The comparison between these and J5 only happened in USA in England these guys ROCKED !!!! and ruled my world.....

    xxxx

  • I am righht there with you! The Osmonds rock!

  • woohoo! love me some booty bounce! love me some osmonds!

  • woooohooo! love me some booty bounce! love my osmonds!

  • string theory made popular the idea of many parralel universes. in one of these they cloned a gay elvis and this video is the proof.

but seriously, even though they were just the white version of the jackson five they were awesome and they were also mormons! did the moonies ever produce a pop band? i think not!

  • As a 45 year old male I can say that I still love listening to these guys today and if you do not like it, who cares(LOL)

  • That's too cool!

    ~Debbie

  • @newarkcatholicfan = and a 52 ...old french man... does too !!

  • Great song by the Osmonds

  • Can't beleave that I was part of that audiance..

I was 9 and knew every move they made ..

    LoL , Tons of practice

  • Im speechless...those boys can dance...whoowe

  • Get Down JAY! Man, you can tell he just gets into his dancing, he is the one with the hair that is the most sweaty and messed up at the end of their show! Same with his drumming...that man is totally hot!!

  • Thanks plenty for this vid! ive been lookin for this song for a while now, and this is the best version ive seen. (i think its the only one ive seen!)

  • D'ya know what? I was listening to Rockin' Robin today and I dont think MJ was a better singer than Donny at this age.. He was given songs with more 'cred' than Donny cos they marketed Donny to sing to 13yr old girls....

IF n e thing held Donny back as an artiste it was His face! The Moguls saw a look they could 'sell' and they used it AND it worked.

But talent for talent I'd say The Jacksons AND The Osmonds were on even ground......

    Gailxx

  • UR NUTS

  • good job with settling the osmond/jackson conflift thing. i agree with you, but im a teensy, weensy bit more on the osmond side.(well obviously i am, beacause like you said, donny targeted 13 yr old girls, and i am one!)

  • maybe its me but i dont see a comparision to the jacksons except 5 brothers and donny is ok but lets get real he couldn't hold a candle to micheal back then merrill was the man in that group he should have done solo albums when they were hot and he knows it.

  • Those sweet sweet boys! What moves! Purely awesome!!!

  • Plz do NOT keep dragging up the Jackson/Osmonds thing. Both famillies are talented....both made really good music.

I bought both loved both. Ok Donny won out but c'mon...I was 13yrs old. Donny was(IS) so good looking....but I still have to dance if MJ is singing.....just enjoy.

    BTW flowerchild, thanks good vid.

  • I appreciate you keeping the peace although this war has been going on since 1971! :)

  • I may well be a bit thick but I truely never saw any 'war'... I just really enjoyed both.

(Hey like the George Michael'Ladies & Gentlemen' cd) : MJ 'for the feet' - Donny 'for the heart'.

    Gailxx

  • MJ wishes he was good as Donny. At least Donny & his brothers are real genuine people.

Thanks for these videos. Brings back a lot of good memories.

  • mj is sooooooo much better than donny but did anyone else notice that donny sounds almost exactly like michael?

  • This is great....ist time Ive watched it. Really is great to watch The Osmonds in their height..... !!

    Loved it thanks

    Gail

  • What memories!!! This a great video! The osmonds were and still are very talented!! They will always be the best! They are what started it all for the "Boy Bands!"

  • im sorry but how amazine are they?!!!!! love them to bits, and im only 14, god wish i was there in the 70's, id do anything to experience osmond mainia, all i do is get to ehar about it and see clip of it. lvoe donny, alot. it's reallu funny how much more the girls scream as he comes forward to sing his part. xxxx

  • hmm... i believe this is a cover of spencer wiggins original. from 1970. b-side to "i'd rather go blind".

  • There is nobody as talented as this whole family. What a tribute to the parents that raised them to be such wonderful individuals and talented to boot! Always loved them and still do today.......

  • I agree the osmond family is a wonderful tribute to their parent. Well said !

  • Such a classic!!!

  • They really got the moves!!!

  • Could these guys get their pants any tighter.

    Great BUNS all of them.

  • The Osmonds really were and still are very talented. A lot of people give them very little credit considering they wrote some of their best hits, they sing, dance and play several different instruments and they can harmonize at drop of a hat. Even today they sound really great.

Of course Merrill is the best lead singer in the business with an AWESOME voice.

  • Thanks, flowerchild for these great videos! Is this concert on dvd anywhere for sale? I'd love to buy it -- it reminds me of the 1972 Osmonds concert I attended!

  • This is on their Crazy Horses DVD. Has great clips!

  • My daughter reckons she hates donny and the osmonds but she knows every word of every song and sings along when they are played in our house :)

  • I have been an Osmond fan since I was a child and am still an Osmond fan. My children are also Osmond fans.

They have music with clean lyrics which has a lot to say for them.

  • I have this album...this was before video existed. Why cant people just let others enjoy a trip to the past why do you have to bash us over the head for being an Osmond fan? This song was written by the same person as One Bad Apple...and was recorded at Muscle Shoals in Alabama...that ain't chicken feed. I would LOVE for this LP to be put on CD for those of us who have always loved then, and the new generations who also love them.

  • The Osmonds ROCK today as much as they did in the 70's!

    love those guys!

  • Punkanelly's right... this is exactly the same as One Bad Apple. As if that could possibly be a bad thing.

  • Osmonds RULE!!!

  • the osmond brothers don't have comparation,i love them exelent show.if they don't like you what are you doing here.i'm from mexico city and every body loves osmond

  • I said this in another post. The industry is all about selling. That's what it was back then that's what it is still. IT IS WHAT IT IS. If it sells the industry doesn't want to give it up (AKA Rap Industry)

After the Supremes there were how many girl groups? lol tell me about it.

  • What a shameless rip-off of their first hit "one bad apple". It's nearly the exact same pattern. The SAME song! And after all these years I never realized it until now: Double Lovin' is One Bad Apple is disguise. Very sneaky these record companies are. Very sneaky indeed.

  • @punkanelly = jaloux !

  • (2) they actually do have something good going there. But then I have to laugh again. "Boy Bands," packaged acts, were as silly then as they are now. I think there's a whole live band there providing some damn good sound, and we don't get to see any of them! They aren't lit! I could be wrong, maybe it is just a playback. And maybe they're lip-syncing. It's hard to tell. Regardless, this is still a great, brief nostalgia trip. Thanks for posting!

  • (1) At first, this just makes me laugh! Five White Mormon guys embracing the Jackson 5 sound, and singing about double-loving (what, only TWO wives?) And the pre-pubescent one is screaming the loudest about satisfying his woman... It's just plain ... what's the word -- ironic? Idiosyncratic? Incongruous! And the costumes... Elvis? What? But then it gets a little hypnotizing. And as silly as it looks today, and as embarrassed as I feel about loving these guys when I was five years old...

  • Geez these guys were good.

  • I've been watching these old Osmond videos, and I've wanted to say this for awhile. THEY WERE GOOD!! Especially LIVE! Listen to they singing when "LIVE". It's as GOOD if not BETTER than the recordings. That's even when they're dancing! How many groups today can say that? Not many! Most can't carry a tune when giving concerts. They were famously called: "The one-take Osmond's" because they didn't make mistakes!!! I miss them, and hope they're all doing well.

  • Amazing that the Osmonds could dance AND sing at the same time!! You don't see artists do that anymore. It's all supplimented by tape backup.

  • Yippee, Yahoo and Hurray! I love watching thes Osmond videos! They're cool!

  • Looks like what we saw at the Iowa State Fair 1973! Classic and still awesome! OSMONDS ROCK!
