For this though, the napkins are traditionally the female dancers. In almost every production I've seen, school and community, its been this way. And we put many many many weeks of rehearsal and time into this. But getting 80 high schoolers to dance is very difficult and just not likely, unless its a performing arts academy.
it could have been better, everyone could have a more alaborated dance, there is enought time for everyone...i'm making the same senior play and this song has at least 60 dancers
Well you are lucky that your school has dancers that can also sing. There is no need to have 60 people cast as dancers, as it doesn't make it special to be considered a featured dancer. We had 12 girls and they were just fine. There's no need for a bunch of fancy choreo as the highlight of this song is mostly the costumes.
i have 60 dancers still they are not even close to amateurs, there is only one girl making the whole dance. I'm just sayng that the dance could have been more alaborated because there where enought time, you just needed to put more work on it. Yes the costume is a very important thing in this dance but it is not the highlight. The highlight of this song is the fact that THEY ARE GIVING A SHOW to Belle, the first guest since who knows when.
I think this section, while yes they are putting on a show for Belle, is really about Belle being enchanted by all of the enchanted objects. For the audience, aesthetically, not only is it fun to see the dancing, but the costume. 60 dancers is simply too many. What do you mean by one girl making the whole dance?
GIGANTIC casts with GIGANTIC sets do pay off, the choreography looks like its been done by a child and the lumiere is nothing special. bad accent and doesnt walk like the suave lumiere should walk! with swaying, and he just doesnt have the spark or enthusiasm that LUMIERE should have... the sololoquy, if it is that in the middle part *life is so unerving, for a ser vent who's not serving*, that was done pathetically done, with bad actions, and no emotions! omg this lumiere frustrates me!

this is really good! The Lumiere is really good, but it just isn't the right voice type for that part.

There is nothing wrong with simple choreo and the set is the same size as it is in many pro productions.
