for those who apply, while tuition is indeed free this does not mean that you will be completely uncharged for your time at the college. I have a zero EFC and had no term bills for my freshman year but each year your bill increases regardless of EFC because you have a required job. the job only pays about $100 a month and for some who help support their families this is not enough to pay a term bill and help the family. just keep that in mind... too many people complain about it

This is quite right. and btw, EFC stands for Estimated Family Contribution--for those who didn't know.

And in my opinion, students who complain about their term bills are ungrateful and truly have no idea how much money they are saving. I came from another college and have had the experience of paying WAY more for way less--and most colleges won't employ students and give them the money and work experience they need. Berea students are incredibly fortunate.
