We'd also view the same thing. Laying on our backs on snowmobiles while taking a smoke break. The trails always disappear quickly. Now they don't.
This is good proof well captured. People try to tell me the reason some planes have short trails and others have long ones is because they are flying at different altitudes, but this destroys their theory!

Ooops. IS 2 deg/1000'. If it's 80deg at surface and the dew point is 70, if you ascend and the surrounding air cools 2deg for every 1000' of elevation. When the temp and dew point match (at 5000' starting from sea level 0'), and moisture is present, invisible water vapor will condense into visible vapor forming a cloud. The same thing happens when you exhale warm moist breath into cool air in the winter. All that moisture is being converted into steam because the cold air can't retain it.
So, a given parcel of air can hold x amount of moisture. Warm (less dense) air can retain a greater amount of moisture than cool (more dense) air. How clouds form. Ever heard of the temp. - dew point spread? Starting at the surface as you ascend the standard lapse rate for temp 2deg/1000'.
At high altitudes this water vapor emerges into a cold environment, and the local increase in water vapor can push the water content of the air past saturation point. The vapor then condenses into tiny water droplets and/or deposits into ice. These millions of tiny water droplets and/or ice crystals form the vapor trail or contrails. The energy drop (and therefore, time and distance) the vapor needs to condense accounts for the contrail forming some way behind the aircraft's engines.
Each vortex is a mass of spinning air and the air pressure at the center of the vortex is very low. These wingtip vortices are not the same as contrails.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, contrails may be visible for only a few seconds or minutes, or may persist for many hours.

You can't tell exactly what level of altitude they are flying at. But only to give a rough estimate basing on the size of the aircraft when it fly's directly overhead. They both looked like they were somewhat near the same altitude though.
They "looked" like they were at the same altitude? Come on. What if one plane was twice as big as the other? Then one would have to be twice as far away as the other for them both to "look" the same size.

How do you know they are at the same altitude. I would seem a little unsafe to have two planes flying at the same altitude so close to each other.
I'm not sure if that matters to the ChemTrail theory (which I think is just bull anyway).
