  • what an asshole. fucking jellyfish...

  • I hate box jelly fish i hate going in the water because their invisible so it's scary :(

  • RIP steve! so many great memories because of that guy. :)

  • "HEY a toxic jellyfish , lets NOT cover our FCKING HAAAAAAANDS!

  • R.I.P Steve! An amazing person!

  • RIP Steve Irwin! We'll never forget

  • never going to swim again in my life

  • @tehnoobshowloverlol

Not even in the pool? :s

  • Im happy that youtube dont hide steve irwin away like any TV channel did after he´s dead... Miss he´s show...

  • did anyone else watch this because they saw the movie seven pounds?

  • i wanna know how a jellyfish operates

  • No gloves! WTF guys!

  • @MetalDrums221 They said in another video that they can't get a good grip using gloves, so they just use bare hands and try to just hold the head (no venom).

  • la la la la la la la la la la

  • i saw some big jellyfishs in jesolo !!!

  • Wow. Almost as deadly as a nuclear submarine launching its nuclear missiles. Yep. Man is too deadly for his own good. Even VX gas is far more deadly then the venom in this gelly fish. I hope we never have another large scale war.

  • now, im not going swimming.. not even in the pool.

  • Box Jellyfish - Irukandji is the worst actually! no pain, till its 2 late

  • Hmm. We should kill em all

  • Damn nature you scary!

  • God, when I was a kid I actually thought jellyfish killed by electrocution like they do in SpongeBob...lol but seriously, scary stuff! Really awesome though :D

  • I am not afraid to die but I am afraid of the pain that come from it sting -.-

  • why aren't they wearing gloves?

  • Seen this?

    /watch?v=NLVhsph2JpY

  • is it cured by just peeing on the sting? or thats another jallyfish?

  • @kikefaris ...another.

    *facepalm*

  • @kikefaris

Peeing relieves the pain of some stings, but makes the venom move through the body faster. There is no cure for stings from the box jellyfish or the irukandji.

  • @cuddlez54 dammit i hope i will never face one of those soo there has never been any report about someone surviving that sting?

  • @kikefaris

Yeah, there have been close calls. I think a 10-year-old girl survived a bunch of tentacles wrapped around her leg, and I think I heard a story about a lifeguard drinking from a bottle filled with the tentacles and surviving after being rushed to the hospital. It's possible to survive them but it seems like it'd be a miracle. Don't know much about this, but I figure if you got stung and didn't get help you'd be pretty much screwed.

  • @cuddlez54 damn lucky me i have never been stung since i do water skying :S i will be more careful i thought only with a pee on you then you get healthy again :S thank God those guys survived thank you for the advice . . . as they say everyday you learn something new!

  • @kikefaris the number of people who survive stings far outnumber those who die. this video gives an absurd exaggeration of how deadly box jellyfish are toward humans. usually when someone is killed by a box jellyfish, it's because they have heart problems and the pain leads to cardiac arrest, or they drown because they're unable to swim under the excruciating pain.

jellyfish are all still bitches, though

  • I'm naming my son Chironex

    This thing is too badass

  • i miss Steve Irwin :(

  • why would they not be wearing glvoes

  • that’s the Australian coast for ya, death in one minute by a jellyfish.

  • can the stingers penetrate wetsuits?

  • @utarian7 I wouldnt think so

  • @twinspur They can in some circumstances.

Note they had sting-proofed wetsuits in the video.

  • @utarian7 yes a women was actully actted and i mean properly attacked by one while swimming in a wetsuite and sheonly passed out when 1 sting usally kills people in a min or 2

  • lots to say about this vid nothing troll like but here we go

r.i.p steve ur ta best//when i saw the jellyfish in the jar i imediatly thiught of spongebob :D//somewher in the vid he said where did he come from where did he go im gonna add where did he come from cotton eye jo XD//holy crap how did they just get in there ind it straight away grab it without sting with bare hands and its quite sick to glue alient technology to creatures

  • Are Jellyfishes able to control their Tentacles?

  • 0:58 jar jellyfish

  • I have to do an essay on this animal, and the information is really hard to find. I need to know what their mating seasons are XD

  • fuck the ocean lol

  • Did anyone itch after watching this video? Thumbs up if you did

  • It's amazing how lots of science flora/fauna related movies that highlight some incredible creature feature immediately jump and assign it to theory of evolution.

  • @Verbotten what do you mean?

  • @Verbotten yeah, even though the theory of evolution is just what it says it is. a theory. what's not to say there's an intelligent creator?

  • If you get stung by this jellyfish, you die in a few minutes.

  • it beauty

  • Gee, Australia is great. Swim at Bondi Beach and get devoured by a great white. Go up north and get eaten by a saltie crocodile. Dip your toe into the tropical waters and be killed by a box jelly. It's all good! Here in the American Pacific Northwest, you just get bitten by a black widow or rattler...so simple in comparison! (just kidding)

  • @marginallymental dont forget the deadly suburban spiders aswell as the deadly outback snakes. gotta love em

  • and to think that when i was a kid i thought jelly was made from jellyfish, if that was the case. PB&J's would be deadly.

  • no the brazilian wandering spider is the most deadliest!!

  • I'm surprised people can still get into the water knowing those things are there.

I don't think anyone could pay me to get that close to a jelly.

  • So if you buy a box Jellyfish....does it come in a sphere?

  • Not on the subject of JellyFish

The most poisiounes spider on the PLANET or so ive heard

is the daddy long legs even though they are harmless and cant bite you

if u eat one the poisions in that little orange bulb can kill you within minutes

    OR SO IVE HEARD

  • I love this kind of animals. The sea wasps are really amazing and dangerous but personally think the are beautiful criatures. I love them.

    See you.

  • can i buy a box jellyfish

  • wtf, why would you even pick it up, thats something you couldn't make me do!

  • I have actually emailed jamie an he replied! He's so nice

  • what a ''deadly'' beauty

  • @xoxo2cutet4uXXX It's just 'drop dead' gorgeous!

  • @sgtsquishy Indeed :)

  • Greeeeeaaaat im moving to sydney soon....-_-

  • omg, bare handed, wow these guys are pro..and pro idiots lol.

  • @sakieiscool Well if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

  • I would be wearing gloves if I were one those guys...

  • Okay, why the crap would ANYONE freaking grab one of those by hand?!?!?!?!?!?! oh my goodness!!!

  • @TheHungryhippo92 Steve Irwin would.

  • they say the only thing that hurts more than a box jelly fish is a stone fish, Get hit by either one of those and your ass will beg for death. You would rather drank gasoline and eat rat poison, than to fuck with this shit.

  • What the hell, they touch it with their bare hands? This is incredibly dangerous.

  • but blue ringed octopus has poison and whatever

  • Poor Will Smith....

  • @musicalsteve82

    hahahahahahah

just saw the movie and went into the process of investigating this type of jelly fish

  • They cannot sting you (other than irukandji) from the bell.

The tags are glued on as they cannot surgically implant them causing numerous problems for tracking until the right glue was found.

The film was indeed finished after steve's incredibly unfortunate death. For those that don't know, the theoryas to why he was attacked him is that, he simply approached it from the wrong angle, and the shadow of his body caused the stingray to instinctively attack him, believing he was a large predator.

  • Just to clarify for a number of people, the post tagged as Will Smith Seven Pounds is actually fairly accurate, as Jamie Seymour, my father is actually quoted in the final lines of the movie from an interview they taped years ago.

While some of the things my dad does appear utterly insane, he without a doubt knows exactly what he's doing. He doesn't wear gloves as previously noted because you can't grip them properly and it makes it even more dangerous

  • its steves dumbass fault hes dead in tha first place. He got so damn close to deadly animals, mammals, and whatnot.. If you think about it!!

  • I feel so sorry for Steve!! I really like him.

  • It's so ironic that the late great Steve Irwin was killed by one of the wild creatures he loved so much.....RIP Steve you are much missed

  • its WAASNT HIS favorite animal, he was actually into crocs so..

  • In my humble opinion the box jelly fish should be used as a form of capital punishment.

  • cant someone just find a poison that kills the box jellyfishes, i fucki*g hate them just killing people, they do not deserve to live

  • You dont deserve to live

  • because i'm sure they totally know better

  • HA HA

    He's dead

  • australia is so fucking deadly

    deadlyest creature(this shit)

    deadlyest snake seasnake

    deadlyest spider

    scorpions

wtf i never go to australia i think:)

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990 LOL actually the most dangerous spider is the brasilian wondering spyder =p

  • i yes realy i always thought it was the funnel-web spider but i have it wrong i know

  • @gyrotuffjonykirby isn't it the funnel web spider in sydney australia?

  • Yes, the Funnel Web spider is the most deadly spider

  • @slk320k I believe it's the Brazilian Wandering Spider.

  • @slk320k Brazilian wandering spiders are in the guiness world records though as the most venomous. But you're from Sydney Australia so you could'nt be bias about funnel webs. :P

  • @slk320k Really. I though it was the wandering spider.

  • @slk320k while it does have the most powerful spider venom, the brazilian wandering spider kills the most people

  • yes it is

    but not the most deadly

  • oh whait

the one says not the other say it is

    ???

  • dunno....according to google the brazilian wondering spider's the most venomous. but i dunno about most deadly...

  • anyhow

australia is fucking sick country if you look at the animals

  • Hahahaha I know! It's as if all the deadliest creatures lived there. xD

  • i think if you have some guts you can take one of those animals and trow it to someone you want to kill

it woud like like an accident and you even have much choise

australia witch venom you woud like to have?:)

  • Yeah that's if the animal you're throwing doesn't bite the hell out of you first. xD I would so throw a bow jellyfish at someone, but I'd probably die in the attempt. xD

  • When i was young. I picked up a jelly fish and decided it wood be funny to throw it at my brother. It certainly hit him.. however only the top did.. the stingers all ripped off and were lunged onto my face... Painful yes.. I wood recommend putting it in a bottle then hurling the bottle at sumone.. just in case

  • i woudnt touch anny jellyfish ever

lol you were verry young then lol

  • protection?

    can help you know lol

  • Im afraid of jellyfish !!!

This is what i call " DEATH IN THE WATER !!! "

  • here we have the Worlds most deadly creature..

it can kill a man in 4 minutes and erode his tissue..

  • lololololololol

thats from the 'scared weird liitle guys' comedy act.

Its here on YT somewhere if you want to find it. I had it as my feature vid for a while before the YT format changed.

Its a funny song - one version of it here on YT had a roo shoving a guy into a dam, and a koala savagely attacking a photographer. Funny funny funny.

Nothing is as cute and cuddly as a roo or koala - until they attack and leave you shredded and dying.

  • @1300maddi That could be our new slogan!

"COME TO AUSTRALIA ... we'll kill you ...

  • @1300maddi cone snail?...and irukandji

also duck billed platypus but that just hurts like hell

  • @1300maddi

"poison thing that lives in a shell that spikes wen you pick it up."

    You mean a cone snail?

  • @1300maddi actually that poison shell thing ur talkin about is called a cone shell. ur probably thinking of conus purpurasens in particular

  • Haha lol.

  • @ALEG0Man360 Careful, you're on your last life. Collect 100 coins to 1up before returning to Australia.

  • @hayesism lul wut?

  • @YeahCain2

hahaaa yee that or it will hurt you. Every living thing here bites

  • man he got hisself killed by a stingray. dam, i thought he wuz sound!!

  • no need to wear gloves when touching the jellyfish....

  • Those guys must have a death wish. But it makes for a good video.

  • only the tentacles contain the venom, not the body of the jellyfish

  • touching with bare hands is he fucking crazy?

  • How dumb do you have to be to handle one of those things with your bare hands?

  • It's enough to make you wanna stay out of the ocean for good!

  • RIP Steve Irwin :(((( freak accidents suck

  • i always knew he would die in some sort of freak accident with some sort of animal

  • but how did u know?

  • the irukandji is more deadly, one sting and 20 mins, you gawn. its delayed poison, but the poison is 300x deadlier than this one, and its 100 times smaller in size =.=

  • Hrmm... I guess you dont really know your stuff do you? The Irukandji is a part of the box jellyfish family...

  • He said theres no ther poison out there that would kill you in a 1 minute time frame... remember , mate . They are the experts so the know their stuff

  • @ilkfc123 The Chironex Fleckeri can cause death in 4 minutes and is the primary cause of deaths from box jellyfish. What is the source for your information?

  • You sir, are an idiot.
